Walking into a casino restaurant, you brace for a wine list that was assembled by someone who lost a bet. Line & Lure mostly defies that expectation — 40 labels and 18 by-the-glass options is real effort, and the white wine section in particular shows someone was paying attention when ordering. This isn't a wine destination, but it's not the usual resort shrug either.
The list leans hard into whites, which makes sense for a seafood kitchen, and there's genuine range here — from the crowd-pleasing Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc and Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay to more interesting picks like Grochau Melon de Bourgogne and a Royal Tokaji Furmint that has no business being this easy to find in a casino. Pacific Northwest producers get solid representation, with Maryhill appearing three times across Pinot Gris, Viognier, and Chardonnay, and Adelsheim showing up with their Rosé. The Chardonnay section gets a little excessive — seven labels is a lot — but at least they're covering different price points and styles from Louis Jadot on the Burgundy end to the approachable Calling at the entry level. Reds and sparkling are underrepresented based on available data, so if you're a Nebbiolo-or-nothing type, adjust expectations accordingly.
Eighteen by-the-glass options is a genuinely strong number for this format, and with bottle prices starting at $32 and glass prices running $9–$16, the math on glass pours isn't punishing you. We'd want to know more about how often those pours rotate, but the breadth suggests this isn't just a house white and house red situation.
Maryhill Chardonnay — $40
Local Pacific Northwest producer, consistent quality, and at $40 it's the most honest bottle on the Chardonnay shelf — doesn't try to be something it isn't and delivers.
Royal Tokaji Furmint
At $50, this Hungarian white is the most interesting thing on the list and almost nobody will order it. Furmint is crisp, mineral, and quietly electric — exactly what you want with seafood, and a total conversation piece at the table.
Louis Jadot Chardonnay
At $90 it's the most expensive white on the list, and while Jadot is a respectable name, you're paying a steep resort premium for a négociant Burgundy that retails for a fraction of that. The Chalk Hill at $60 or even Sonoma Cutrer at $56 give you more bottle for less resort markup.
Grochau Melon de Bourgogne + Fresh oysters or shellfish
Melon de Bourgogne — the grape behind Muscadet — is one of the most naturally seafood-friendly whites on the planet. Salty, lean, and briny, it's practically designed for oysters. At $50 it's the most compelling match on the list for anything pulled from the water.
The Bottom Line
Line & Lure clears the casino restaurant bar by a comfortable margin — fair prices, a thoughtful white wine program, and a Royal Tokaji that earns genuine respect. We'd send a friend here for a pre-dinner glass without hesitation, as long as they stick to the whites.
