Wingman Metrics
Nine bottles. That's the whole list. At a Thai and sushi spot where bright, acid-driven wines could genuinely sing with the food, nine labels is the kind of effort you'd expect from a hotel minibar. The list reads like someone grabbed the most recognizable names from a distributor sheet and called it a day.
There's nothing adventurous here — Kim Crawford and Meiomi are grocery store staples, Decoy Merlot shows up on every inattentive restaurant list in America, and Chakras Malbec Reserva rounds out the uninspired new-world lineup. The one wine that stands out with any real credibility is the Famille Gueguen Chablis, a grower producer from Burgundy that actually belongs on a list next to sushi. The Gérard Bertrand Rosé is a solid Languedoc pick, but neither choice suggests any intentionality — they just happen to be decent. There are no grower Champagnes, no Riesling, no skin-contact options, and zero representation from regions that would actually flatter the cuisine.
Eight of the nine bottles pour by the glass, which sounds generous until you realize the list is only nine deep. At $14–$15 a glass, you're paying roughly a third of bottle price, which is on the steeper side of standard restaurant math. The rotation appears fixed — there's no evidence this list changes with seasons or specials.
The Bottom Line
Silom Thai & Sushi Bar clearly has its priorities elsewhere, and that's fine — the food may well be the reason to visit. But the wine list is an afterthought: overpriced crowd-pleasers with no soul and no connection to the cuisine they're supposed to accompany. Order the Chablis if you must, or skip wine entirely and find a better drink on the cocktail or sake menu.

Osha Thai Sushi Galleria's wine list is exactly what it needs to be — accessible, fairly priced, and available almost entirely by the glass. It won't impress a wine nerd, but it won't embarrass anyone either. If you're here for the food, the El Terrano Albariño or Louis Jadot Gamay will carry you through dinner without drama.

Gocha's Tapas Bar is almost certainly a fun night out for reasons that have nothing to do with wine. The list is short, anonymous, and shows no engagement with the cuisine it's supposed to complement — not a single Spanish or even European producer in sight. Order the sangria, enjoy the atmosphere, and don't come here hoping the wine list delivers.

Carroll Street Cafe is the kind of place that earns its Wild Card badge not by having the most impressive list in Atlanta, but by doing something genuinely unexpected — running a thoughtful wine program inside a cozy neighborhood cafe in Cabbagetown. We don't have enough verified wine data to make specific bottle calls right now, but the bones are there. If you're in the neighborhood and want wine with your Shrimp and Grits without feeling like you're at a corporate restaurant, this is a solid bet — just go in ready to ask questions.

Fellaship.ATL's wine list is one of the thinnest we've seen at a restaurant positioning itself as fine dining — five anonymous wines with no producers, no regions, and vintages that suggest the list hasn't been touched in years. The pricing won't break you, but there's genuinely no reason to think hard about what to order. Stick to cocktails and check back if they ever decide to invest in the program.

Virginia-Highland · Atlanta · Spanish/Latin
Bar.bacoa keeps it simple and mostly gets it right — fair prices, a by-the-glass program that covers the whole list, and just enough Spanish character to feel intentional. This isn't a destination wine list, but it's an honest one. If you're in Virginia-Highland and want a glass of Cava or Albariño without overpaying, this is a reliable call.

Campagnolo isn't trying to be a wine bar, and it doesn't need to be — the white and sparkling selections are genuinely solid for a midtown Italian spot. We'd steer toward the Albariño or the Fouassier Sancerre, skip the generic Chardonnay, and keep expectations calibrated: this is a food-first room with a wine list that supports the meal rather than steals the show.

Kirin House is a hibachi spot that happens to sell wine, not a restaurant that thinks about wine. The markups are aggressive, the selection is mass-market, and there's no sign anyone on staff was asked to care. Order a Japanese beer or a cocktail — you'll be better off.

Eight Sushi Lounge is a Wild Card for a reason: the ambition is real, even if the execution is uneven. The whites punch above their weight for this format, the Etna Bianco is a genuine find, and fifteen glass pours gives you room to explore without committing to a bottle. But the markup is steep across the board, the red selection is thin below the splurge tier, and dropping $450–$490 on Opus One in a sushi lounge is a leap of faith we wouldn't personally take. Come for the glass pours, leave the black card in your wallet.

Zest isn't trying to win any wine awards, and that's fine — the list is priced reasonably, pours freely by the glass, and covers the white-wine territory that makes the most sense with the food. If you're looking for a natural wine deep-dive or anything beyond California standards, you're at the wrong spot. But for a breezy Canton Street dinner, Kung Fu Girl Riesling in hand, you'll leave happy.
