Oregon Pours That Do the Job

The wine list at Two50 reads exactly like what it is: a hotel restaurant in downtown Eugene that wants to keep the conference crowd and weekend travelers comfortable, not challenged. You'll recognize the names immediately — Willamette Valley Vineyards, King Estate, A to Z — and that's sort of the whole point. It's not trying to impress you, which is both its biggest strength and its most glaring limitation.
The list leans hard into Oregon's greatest hits, which makes sense given the geography but leaves little room for discovery. Willamette Valley Pinot Noir anchors the reds, California fills in the rest, and there's minimal adventure beyond those two regions. Producers like A to Z Wineworks and King Estate are reliable but widely distributed — you can find these at most grocery stores, which makes the restaurant markup sting a little. The list clocks in somewhere around 30-50 bottles, and while it covers the bases, it doesn't dig deep into any of them.
The by-the-glass program runs 10-16 options, which is a reasonable spread for a hotel bar. Expect the Oregon standards to dominate the pour list, with a few California wildcards thrown in for the guests who ask for 'something not Pinot.' Rotation appears minimal — this is a set-and-forget program, not one that changes with the seasons.
King Estate Pinot Gris — $14
King Estate is one of the largest and most consistent Pinot Gris producers in Oregon — you're getting a genuinely local, well-made glass at a price that doesn't humiliate you. It's the move here.
Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir
Most people at a hotel bar grab whatever's familiar, but WVV's estate Pinot Noir is a legitimate expression of what makes the Willamette Valley worth caring about — earthy, bright, and a solid step above the commodity Pinot most hotel lists default to.
A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir
A to Z is a perfectly fine grocery-store Pinot that retails around $15-18 a bottle. At hotel markup, you're paying restaurant prices for a wine that requires zero effort to find anywhere else in Eugene. Pass.
King Estate Pinot Gris + Pacific Northwest Salmon
Oregon Pinot Gris and local salmon is practically state law at this point — the wine's stone fruit and bright acidity cut through the richness of the fish without fighting it. It's the one pairing on this list that actually feels intentional.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Two50 is a dependable wine stop if you're already staying at the Graduate and don't want to venture out — but it's not a destination. Lean into the local Oregon pours, skip the marked-up commodity bottles, and you'll have a perfectly fine evening.
Crescent Village · Eugene · Local Northwest American Bar & Grill
B2 isn't trying to be a wine destination and doesn't need to be — it's a neighborhood spot with a list that respects both the region and your wallet. Send a friend here and tell them to order the Owen Roe Syrah before someone else does.

Valley River / North Eugene · Eugene · Japanese, teppanyaki, sushi
Fuji is a genuinely fun night out — the teppanyaki show is the main event and it delivers — but the wine list is strictly an afterthought, with steep markups on uninspired brands and zero connection to the cuisine or the local Oregon wine scene. Order the Riesling or the plum wine, enjoy the fire, and don't overthink it.

West Eugene · Eugene · Chinese and pan-Asian
Kirin isn't a wine destination and it doesn't pretend to be — but the prices are fair and the Riesling with your General Tso's is a quiet win. Order accordingly and keep your expectations calibrated.

South Eugene · Eugene · Japanese
Makoto's wine list is exactly what it is — a small, sensible selection built for a neighborhood Japanese spot that cares more about the food than the cellar. Order the Riesling, don't overthink it, and you'll leave happy.

Springfield · Eugene · Wine Bar
Iris Vineyards is a small producer doing their own thing in a town people usually drive through without stopping — and that's exactly why it's worth stopping. If you like the idea of drinking estate Oregon wine poured by people who actually grew it, this is your place.

Downtown Springfield · Eugene · Brewpub
Plank Town is a genuinely good brewpub and you should absolutely go there — just order a beer. The wine list exists to accommodate the one person in a group who doesn't drink beer, and it does that job adequately and nothing more.
