Walk into B2 and the wine list doesn't try to outshine the room — it fits it. Forty-plus bottles, a clear Pacific Northwest lean, and prices that won't make you regret ordering a second round. This is a neighborhood bar and grill that actually thought about its wine list, which already puts it ahead of half the competition in Eugene.
The backbone of the list is Oregon Pinot Noir, and that's exactly right for a spot sitting in the shadow of the Willamette Valley. Stoller Estate, Benton Lane, and their own house b² label cover the appellation across a few vintages, giving you range without overwhelming the menu. Beyond Oregon, there's solid reach into Washington with Owen Roe's Sharecropper Syrah and Charles & Charles Red Blend, plus international stops in Rioja (Ramón Bilbao Tempranillo) and Mendoza (Broquel Malbec) for guests who want to wander off the Northwest path. The California contingent — Joel Gott Cab and Duckhorn's Decoy — feels a little safe, but they're crowd-pleasers that earn their spot.
Glass pours run $8–$11, which is a genuinely fair ask for a bar and grill in this market. The specific by-the-glass lineup isn't published in detail, but with a house b² Pinot Noir label on the list, there's a strong chance it's pulling pour duty. We'd love to see more transparency on what's actually open behind the bar on any given night.
Syrah, Sharecropper, Owen Roe, Columbia Valley, WA 2013 — $32–$44
Owen Roe's Sharecropper label punches well above its price point — structured Columbia Valley Syrah from a producer that knows Washington fruit inside out. At bar-and-grill bottle prices, this is the smartest order on the list.
Tempranillo, Ramón Bilbao, Rioja, Spain 2014
Most tables at a Northwest bar and grill are going straight for the Pinot, which means this Rioja gets ignored. Ramón Bilbao makes clean, food-friendly Tempranillo that holds its own against anything on a burger-and-small-plates menu. It's the wine the regulars aren't ordering — yet.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Joel Gott, St. Helena, CA 2015
Joel Gott is fine — it's just that 'fine' doesn't make a case for itself on a list that already has better options at similar prices. It's the autopilot pick for Cab lovers who aren't looking at the rest of the list. Look at the rest of the list.
Pinot Noir, Stoller Estate, Willamette Valley, OR 2015 + House burger
Stoller's estate Pinot has enough structure to stand up to a proper beef burger without steamrolling the whole thing. The Willamette fruit and restrained tannins play well against a well-seasoned patty — and eating an Oregon Pinot with a burger in Eugene just feels correct.
✔️ The Bottom Line
B2 isn't trying to be a wine destination and doesn't need to be — it's a neighborhood spot with a list that respects both the region and your wallet. Send a friend here and tell them to order the Owen Roe Syrah before someone else does.
Valley River / North Eugene · Eugene · Japanese, teppanyaki, sushi
Fuji is a genuinely fun night out — the teppanyaki show is the main event and it delivers — but the wine list is strictly an afterthought, with steep markups on uninspired brands and zero connection to the cuisine or the local Oregon wine scene. Order the Riesling or the plum wine, enjoy the fire, and don't overthink it.

Kirin isn't a wine destination and it doesn't pretend to be — but the prices are fair and the Riesling with your General Tso's is a quiet win. Order accordingly and keep your expectations calibrated.

South Eugene · Eugene · Japanese
Makoto's wine list is exactly what it is — a small, sensible selection built for a neighborhood Japanese spot that cares more about the food than the cellar. Order the Riesling, don't overthink it, and you'll leave happy.

Two50 is a dependable wine stop if you're already staying at the Graduate and don't want to venture out — but it's not a destination. Lean into the local Oregon pours, skip the marked-up commodity bottles, and you'll have a perfectly fine evening.

Iris Vineyards is a small producer doing their own thing in a town people usually drive through without stopping — and that's exactly why it's worth stopping. If you like the idea of drinking estate Oregon wine poured by people who actually grew it, this is your place.

Plank Town is a genuinely good brewpub and you should absolutely go there — just order a beer. The wine list exists to accommodate the one person in a group who doesn't drink beer, and it does that job adequately and nothing more.
