Four wines. That's the list. You could write the entire wine program on a Post-it note and still have room for your grocery list. This is a breakfast café that tolerates wine rather than offers it.
The selection is exactly what you'd expect when a restaurant treats wine as an afterthought: two unnamed house pours (Cab and Chard), a Yes Way Rosé that you've seen at every brunch spot from here to Houston, and a split of JP Chenet sparkling that costs about four dollars at a French supermarket. There's no regional story, no producer credibility, and zero depth. This is a wine list assembled by someone who had five minutes and a Sysco catalog.
All four wines are by the glass, which means the entire list is the by-the-glass list — there are no bottles to speak of. At $9–$11 a pour for house-level wine, you're paying restaurant markup on product that retails in the single digits. The JP Chenet split is the only thing with a label worth reading, and even that's a stretch.
Yes Way Rosé — $10
It's the only wine here with an actual identity. Yes Way Rosé is a recognizable, decent Provence-style rosé that at least tastes intentional. At $10 a glass it's still marked up, but relative to the unnamed house pours, this is the one you can feel okay ordering.
JP Chenet Sparkling
It's not a hidden gem so much as the least-bad option nobody orders at brunch. A split of sparkling wine with your omelet is genuinely a good move, and JP Chenet is drinkable fizz that won't embarrass you. Most people walk past it and order coffee. Don't.
House Cabernet Sauvignon
A mystery Cab at a breakfast café is never a good sign. You don't know who made it, where it's from, or how long it's been sitting around. At $9–$10 a glass for something labeled 'house,' you're overpaying for ambiguity. Hard pass.
JP Chenet Sparkling + Omelets
Bubbles cut through egg richness better than anything else on this list. It's the one combination here that actually makes sense — light, effervescent, and it makes a Tuesday morning feel slightly more intentional.
❌ The Bottom Line
The Toasted Yolk is a solid breakfast spot that has no business being reviewed for its wine program — and that's really the point. Come for the omelets, order a mimosa if they've got one, and don't expect the wine list to do any heavy lifting.
