First Impression
The Standard Pour knows what it is: a neighborhood cocktail bar with exposed brick and bourbon vibes. The wine list reads like someone ordered the basics from a restaurant supply catalog and called it a day.
Selection Deep Dive
You're looking at about 12 wines total—mostly entry-level crowd pleasers from supermarket brands like Villa Pozzi, Matua, and JP Chenet. There's a token nod to variety with picks from New Zealand, Italy, France, and Germany, but nothing shows any curatorial effort. No serious producers, no vintage depth, no local love. This is a list designed to exist, not to excite.
By the Glass
Five by-the-glass options at $10-$12 cover the basics: Crowded House Sauvignon Blanc, Villa Pozzi Pinot Grigio, Macon Villages Chardonnay, Zeppelin Riesling, and a rosé. They're drinkable and inoffensive, but there's zero rotation and nothing you couldn't find at Target for less.
Zeppelin Riesling — $11
Mosel Riesling by the glass for $11 isn't offensive—it's off-dry, food-friendly, and won't wreck your wallet before the bourbon pours start
Bichot Macon Villages Chardonnay
Still overpriced but it's actual Burgundy from a real producer, which makes it the most serious wine on the list by default
JP Chenet Rosé Bottle
They're charging $40 for a bottle that retails for $10—a 300% markup on bottom-shelf pink wine is insulting
Voga Prosecco + Tuna Tostadas
Bright bubbles cut through the sesame-soy flavors and avocado richness—plus at $11/glass it's the safest bet on the list
❌ The Bottom Line
Come for the bourbon bacon chicken and waffle, stay for the Old Fashioneds, but order wine only if you've already had three cocktails and stopped caring about value. This is a cocktail bar that tolerates wine, not celebrates it.
