The wine list feels like it was added to the menu because someone asked for it once, not because anyone here is particularly excited about it. It's a California-leaning, crowd-safe lineup that doesn't ask much of you and doesn't give much back.
The wine focus leans California, which in a gastropub context usually means familiar commercial labels rather than anything with a sense of place or producer ambition. Don't expect to find anything from the Hill Country in your backyard, or an interesting Rhône alternative to go with that steak — this list plays it safe and stays there. There's nothing offensive about it, but there's nothing that'll make you put down your beer either. The gaps are where the interest would be: no real regional representation, no exploration of value-driven Old World options that could punch up the food pairings.
By-the-glass specifics aren't confirmed, but given the list's apparent scope and casual bar orientation, expect a short rotation of standard California pours — a chardonnay, a cab, maybe a red blend. Don't count on the selections rotating with any real intention or seasonal awareness. If you're here for beer, this is a non-issue; if you're here for wine, it's a problem.

Cork & Pig Tavern is doing more with wine than Abilene probably demands, and we respect the effort — the by-the-glass program alone is worth the stop. If you're passing through West Texas and need a legit glass of something interesting, this is your place.
