Wingman Metrics
Walking into a renovated Gilded Age mansion sets expectations high, and the wine list tries — but only so hard. Nineteen labels isn't nothing, but when every single one doubles as a by-the-glass option, you're looking at a list built for approachability, not depth. It's the wine equivalent of the house playing it safe.
The list leans heavily on California and New Zealand crowd-pleasers — Chalk Hill Chardonnay from Russian River, Wairau River Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Roth Cab from Alexander Valley — competent producers but nothing that makes a wine person sit up straight. There's a nod to France with Louis Jadot's unoaked Bourgogne Chardonnay and a solid Italian contingent including Sasso Sole Sangiovese from Montalcino and the Massimo Rivetti Rosé from Langhe. The sparkling selection is actually the most interesting corner of the list: Lucien Albrecht Crémant d'Alsace, a Prosecco, and a Cava Rosé give you three distinct bubble options at different price points. What's missing is anything that surprises — no grower Champagne, no obscure region, no real risk taken.
The entire list is available by the glass, which is genuinely convenient and guest-friendly. Prices run $10 to $22 per glass, with Swift Hour (Wednesday through Sunday, 4:30–6:30pm) dropping featured whites and reds to $8 — that's the move if you're timing your arrival right. Rotation doesn't appear to be a thing here; this looks like a set-it-and-forget-it program.
Lucien Albrecht Crémant d'Alsace Brut NV — $12/glass
Crémant d'Alsace from a respected Alsatian producer at what appears to be the entry glass tier is a genuine find. This is proper French bubbly at Prosecco pricing, and most people at the table will order Prosecco without realizing the upgrade sitting right next to it.
Sasso Sole Sangiovese Montalcino 2021
Montalcino Sangiovese that isn't Brunello tends to get ignored, but that's exactly why it's interesting — you're drinking from one of Italy's greatest appellations without the flagship price tag. Most guests will reach for the Cab or Pinot Noir and walk right past this.
Roth Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2022
At $22 a glass and $86 a bottle, Roth Cab is a competent Alexander Valley wine — but it's widely available at retail for well under $25 a bottle. That's a markup that only makes sense if someone really needs a big California Cab and isn't paying attention.
Louis Jadot Chardonnay 'Steel' Bourgogne 2022 + Any seafood or lighter poultry dish on the current menu
The unoaked Jadot Bourgogne is clean, precise, and mineral-driven — it won't fight with delicate flavors the way a butter-bombed California Chardonnay would. It's the smarter pick for anything from the lighter end of the menu, and at $20 a glass it's not the most expensive white option.
Wednesday–Sunday — Swift Hour runs Wednesday through Sunday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm with $8 featured white and red wines by the glass.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Swift is a pleasant place to drink wine in a beautiful old building — just don't expect the list to match the grandeur of the mansion. The Swift Hour deal is legitimately useful; outside of that, lean toward the European options and leave the big-ticket California bottles for someone else's table.
Bethlehem Township · Bethlehem · Japanese
Kome isn't building a destination wine program, but they're doing enough right to drink well here — especially if you dig past the familiar labels. The markups ask you to pay for the ambiance, but the Taurasi and the local Grüner are genuine finds worth the trip.

Fegley's Bethlehem Brew Works is a genuinely great brewpub doing a lot of things right — wine just isn't one of them. Come for the craft beer, skip the wine list, and nobody gets hurt.

The Goosemen is a perfectly decent place to eat a burger and drink a beer — but the wine list is a cash grab dressed up as a menu. The Wednesday half-price bottle promotion is the only reason to think about wine here at all; on any other night, order something from the tap.

Copperhead Grille is a perfectly fine sports bar where you should order a beer. If it has to be wine, show up on a Monday when the by-the-glass options are half price — that's the only math here that makes sense.

Downtown Bethlehem · Bethlehem · Italian
Tre Scalini isn't trying to be a wine destination, but the Italian-focused list is coherent, fairly priced, and punches above its Bethlehem zip code. If you're eating pasta this good, you owe it to the meal to drink something Italian alongside it.

Apollo Grill won't earn a wine destination reputation, but for downtown Bethlehem, it's doing the job honestly — fair prices, more glass options than you'd expect, and a few genuinely good bottles hiding in plain sight. Send a friend here without hesitation; just steer them past the Meiomi.

Historic 25th Street · Ogden · Modern American
Table Twenty Five is a genuinely pleasant spot on a historic street that deserves a better wine pricing strategy — markups consistently run 120–150% over retail, which undercuts an otherwise thoughtful small list. Order the Gruet, skip the Prosecco, and enjoy the room.

Burtons Boca is a perfectly decent place to drink wine with dinner — just don't expect to be challenged or delighted by the list. Show up on a Wednesday, grab the Albariño or the La Nerthe at half price, and you'll leave happy.

Harvest is a dependable, well-stocked wine program for a business dinner or date night near Yale — just don't expect to discover anything new. If you're ordering the Veuve, you're paying for the logo; if you're ordering the Merry Edwards or the Broglia, you're getting your money's worth.
