STK hits you with a list that looks impressive on paper — 176 labels sounds like a serious cellar — but flip through it and you realize it's 176 familiar names you've seen at every airport restaurant from JFK to LAX. This is a wine list built for a table full of people who trust brand recognition over everything else, and STK knows it.
The bottle list leans heavily on California crowd-pleasers: Rombauer, Far Niente, Kosta Browne, Belle Glos. These are all genuinely good wines, but they're also the safest possible picks for a high-end Vegas steakhouse with a clientele that wants reassurance, not discovery. There's almost no Old World representation in what we can see, and the international reach seems to top out at Cloudy Bay and Whispering Angel — wines that stopped being discoveries about a decade ago. Terrazas Malbec showing up as the lone South American outlier isn't exactly adventurous. For 176 labels, this list has a remarkably narrow worldview.

All three clock in at $10 — Whispering Angel rosé, Elouan Pinot Noir, and one white — which sounds like a deal until you remember you're at a venue where appetizers probably cost four times that. The program feels like an afterthought bolted onto a bottle-sales operation.
Whispering Angel Rosé — $10/glass
At $10 a glass, this is the rare moment STK's by-the-glass pricing actually makes sense. Whispering Angel retails around $25-30 a bottle, so you're not getting robbed here — enjoy it while you wait for your steak.
La Spinetta Moscato d'Asti Quaglia
Nobody orders this at a steakhouse, and that's exactly why you should consider it. La Spinetta makes some of the finest Moscato d'Asti in Piedmont — it's low-alcohol, gently fizzy, and genuinely elegant. Bring it out at dessert and surprise everyone at the table.
Kosta Browne Pinot Noir
Kosta Browne is great wine. It's also great wine that's available everywhere, retails at a premium, and will almost certainly be marked up to stratospheric Vegas levels here. You're paying for the label twice — once to the winery, once to STK's margin team.
Belle Glos Pinot Noir Las Alturas + Filet Mignon
Belle Glos Las Alturas is a Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot with enough body and dark fruit to hold its own against a filet without overwhelming it the way a big Cab would. It's the steakhouse Pinot pick that actually makes sense.
The Bottom Line
STK Las Vegas is a bottle-list business masquerading as a wine program — three by-the-glass pours, a roster of safe California hits, and Vegas markups that'll make your eyes water. Order the Whispering Angel at happy hour, grab a bottle of Belle Glos if you're feeling generous, and save the real wine exploration for somewhere that cares.

Diner Ross is doing something genuinely weird and kind of wonderful — a Champagne-forward list inside a Vegas diner is a wild card move that mostly works. Just don't show up expecting range beyond bubbles, and go for the growers before you default to the celebrity bottles.
