Wingman Metrics
Primrose Table opens with a wine list that matches the room: polished enough to feel intentional, approachable enough that nobody's going to feel judged for ordering the house Pinot Grigio. It's not trying to be a wine destination, but it's clearly trying harder than the average Murfreesboro dinner spot. The list reads like a crowd-pleasing greatest-hits collection — nothing weird, nothing offensive.
The list runs 35-50 wines deep with the usual suspects in place — California Chardonnay, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Italian Pinot Grigio, and a Garnacha from Spain that shows at least a little range. There's no obvious regional obsession or producer curation, which makes the list feel assembled by committee rather than someone with a point of view. That said, the Thursday half-price roster — Villa Sandi, Lubanzi Chenin Blanc, La Maldita Garnacha, Yellowstone Reserve Cab — hints at someone doing actual buying rather than just ordering off a distributor's top-sellers sheet. The Fonseca Bin 27 Port showing up in a cocktail is a fun touch that suggests the beverage program has a little personality buried in there.
Glass pours run $8–$15 and cover the basics across white, red, and sparkling — about 12–18 options total. The Bellafina Prosecco at $13 a glass is reasonably priced given that the bottle retails around $10, making the markup one of the fairer pours on the list. Rotation appears tied to the Thursday specials program rather than a true by-the-glass overhaul, so don't expect much seasonal surprise outside of that.
La Maldita Garnacha — Half price on Thursdays
Spanish Garnacha at half price on a Thursday is genuinely good value — this grape overdelivers for its price point, and at half off, it's the best reason to time your visit right.
Lubanzi Chenin Blanc
South African Chenin Blanc flies under the radar on most restaurant lists, and most diners walk right past it. It's a more interesting white than the house Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio by a mile — textured, fresh, and worth the ask.
House Pinot Grigio
The generic house Pinot Grigio listing is exactly what it sounds like — a safe, forgettable pour that exists to check a box. The Villa Sandi on Thursdays is the actual Pinot Grigio worth ordering here.
La Maldita Garnacha + Korean BBQ Stuffed Potato Skins
Garnacha's soft tannins and red fruit play well against the sweet-savory Korean BBQ glaze without stomping all over it. It's a weird-on-paper pairing that actually makes sense in the glass.
Thursday — Half off select bottles: Villa Sandi Pinot Grigio, Lubanzi Chenin Blanc, Yellowstone Reserve Cabernet, La Maldita Garnacha
✔️ The Bottom Line
Primrose Table isn't a wine destination, but it's a genuinely solid neighborhood spot where you can drink well without getting gouged — especially on Thursdays. Show up then, order the Garnacha or the Chenin Blanc, and you'll leave happy.
Rutherford Blvd · Murfreesboro · Japanese / Sushi
Wasabi is a fun spot for teppanyaki and sushi, but the wine list is an afterthought dressed up as a menu section. Order the plum wine, enjoy the hibachi show, and save the serious bottle for somewhere else.

Blackhorse is a genuinely good brewpub, and you should absolutely order a pint. The wine list, though, is purely functional — it exists so the person at the table who doesn't drink beer has something to order, and it doesn't pretend to be anything more than that.

Logan's Roadhouse in Murfreesboro isn't trying to impress you with wine, and it succeeds. Save your wine budget for somewhere that's actually spending a moment thinking about it — here, order the whiskey.

O'Charley's isn't where you come for a wine experience, but if you're here for the food and want a fair pour at a fair price, the list delivers exactly that. Send a friend here for the Wednesday half-price wine night and keep expectations calibrated.

Chili's wine program is a checkbox, not a commitment — and the Murfreesboro location is no exception. Drink the margaritas, eat the ribs, and don't let anyone at the table order the bottle.

Puckett's is a great night out for live music and serious BBQ — but the wine list is here because it has to be, not because anyone really wanted it. Stick to the A. Marshall pours during happy hour and let the food do the talking.

Sixty Vines is what happens when a chain actually thinks about wine instead of just slapping together a corporate-approved list. The tap system works, prices stay honest, and there's enough range to keep it interesting. Not a destination, but a solid neighborhood option.
