Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Prime 93 reads like a steakhouse that knows its lane — California-heavy, approachable, and priced to keep the table happy without anyone feeling like they need a finance degree. At $30–$65 a bottle, there's no sticker shock here, which counts for a lot in a sit-down steak joint on Manchester Road. It's not trying to be a wine destination, but it's not embarrassing itself either.
The list leans hard on the Venture label — Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Napa Merlot, Napa Cab, RRV Pinot Noir, and a Napa 216 Cuvée that reads like a house blend with ambition. The Vine 93 Cabernet Sauvignon appears to be a restaurant-exclusive label, which is a nice touch and probably the best price-to-provenance play on the list. Beyond California, there's a smattering of international value pours — Tussock Jumper Riesling, Borgo Maragliano Moscato, a French rosé — plus sangria options that signal they're not trying to alienate the table that just wants something sweet and cold. The gaps are real: no Pinot Gris, no Rhône, no Italy beyond Moscato, nothing that would excite a curious drinker.
Glass pours run $12–$18, which is reasonable for the format and keeps casual wine drinkers from committing to a bottle they're not sure about. We don't have a confirmed count of glass options, but based on the list, you're likely looking at a handful of Venture labels and the sangrias available by the glass. Don't expect a rotation — this feels like a set-it-and-forget-it program.
Vine 93 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon — $65
A restaurant-exclusive label that gives Prime 93 something genuinely its own. A 2014 Cab with any real provenance at this price point, in a steakhouse setting, is worth the reach — especially if the kitchen is putting out a proper sear.
Venture 2014 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Most tables at a steakhouse go straight for the Cab and never look back. This RRV Pinot is the move for anyone who wants something with a little more finesse — it'll hold its own against a duck dish or a lighter cut without bulldozing the table.
Borgo Maragliano Moscato
Nothing wrong with Moscato in the right context, but at a steakhouse ordering a glass of off-dry Italian bubbly is a bit like ordering a salad and then a ribeye — the sequencing doesn't work and you're probably overpaying for what is a very inexpensive wine to produce.
Venture 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon + Prime ribeye
A 2018 Napa Cab with a well-marbled ribeye is the whole point of a place like this. The wine's structure and dark fruit cut through the fat, the steak makes the tannins behave — it's the pairing this list was built around.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Prime 93 is a perfectly serviceable steakhouse wine list that won't thrill anyone but won't embarrass the table either — fair prices, California-forward, and honest about what it is. Send a friend here for the steak; just don't send them expecting a deep cellar.

The Bistro at Gervasi is a wildcard in the best sense — a full estate wine experience dropped into the middle of northeast Ohio, executed with more care than anyone from out of state would guess. Come curious, skip the cynicism, and let the Nebbiolo do its thing.

Ken Stewart's isn't reinventing the steakhouse wine list, but it's executing the classic version with enough depth and care to earn your trust. Show up on a Wednesday, grab the Jordan or Far Niente at half price, and you'll leave happy.

Come for the seafood — the Shrimp & Grits and Crab Cake have genuine fans — but come on a Tuesday when the bottles are half off, because that's the only time the wine program makes financial sense. Any other night, order a cocktail.

East Akron · Akron · Japanese / Hibachi
Hibachi Japan's wine list isn't going to make anyone's bucket list, but it's priced fairly, covers the basics, and won't embarrass you on date night. Order the Riesling or Pinot Gris, enjoy the show, and don't overthink it.

Bonefish Grill Fairlawn won't give you a wine moment worth texting about, but it won't rip you off either — and in the chain restaurant landscape, that clears the bar. Show up during Social Hour, grab a Kim Crawford, and focus on the fish.

Firebirds isn't where you go to discover wine, but Wine Monday genuinely earns this place a spot in your rotation — $7.50 for a Decoy Cab next to a wood-fired steak is hard to argue with. Solid, predictable, and occasionally a real deal.

Saltgrass McKinney is a reliable spot for a Texas-style steak, but the wine list is clearly not why anyone is driving out here. Unless you're sticking to the J. Lohr Pinot or talking someone into splitting the Hampton Water, you're better off ordering a cocktail and calling it a night.

Hideout 125 is doing more with a wine list than most steakhouses in this zip code would bother attempting — Burgundy, Walla Walla, Champagne, actual producers people care about. The markups are real and there's no rotation or events to get excited about, but if you know where to look on this list, you'll drink well.
