The wine list at Patio 44 reads like it was built to make everyone comfortable — and it mostly succeeds. Over 100 bottles with glass pours starting at $8 is a reasonable opening move for a Main Street bistro in Biloxi. Nothing here is going to make a wine nerd's pulse race, but that's not really the point.
The list casts a wide net globally but doesn't go deep anywhere in particular — you get the expected hits from California, a nod to France and Italy, and a few others rounding out the corners. What's missing is any sense of curation or a point of view; this is a list assembled to check boxes, not to excite. The producers lean heavily recognizable and commercial, which tells you something about who they think their customer is. There are no obvious regional Mississippi or Gulf Coast producers making an appearance, which feels like a missed opportunity given the Southern identity of the place.
Ten to twenty options by the glass is a solid spread for a casual-upscale Southern spot, and the $8–$18 range keeps things accessible. The rotation doesn't appear to change much, so what you see is likely what you get month after month. Grab something mid-tier by the glass and don't expect any surprises.
Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon — $10
At the lower end of their glass pour pricing, this is a crowd-friendly, reliably drinkable California Cab that holds its own next to a ribeye without emptying your wallet. Not thrilling, but honest.
Josh Cellars Legacy Red Blend
Most people at this table are going straight for the Cab or Merlot out of habit — but the Legacy Red Blend is the more interesting pour in the Josh lineup, layering a bit more complexity into an otherwise predictable producer. Worth the ask.
Josh Cellars Merlot
When the Cab and the Blend are both on the list, the straight Merlot from the same producer is the least compelling reason to spend your pour. It lands in the dull middle of the portfolio with nothing to distinguish it.
Josh Cellars Legacy Red Blend + Filet
The Legacy Blend's red fruit and soft structure don't fight the filet — they let the beef do the talking while adding just enough backbone to make the pairing feel intentional rather than accidental.

Patio 44 is a dependable night out on Biloxi's Main Street, and the wine list won't embarrass you — but it won't inspire you either. Come for the Shrimp & Grits and the atmosphere; the wine is fine company.
