Wingman Metrics
Walking into what is essentially a cocktail lounge, you don't expect to find a Brunello di Montalcino on the menu — and yet here we are. The list is compact at 20 labels, but whoever put this together actually has taste. This isn't a wine program that happened by accident.
The list leans heavily Italian and French, which is a smart and coherent editorial choice. You've got Corte Pavone representing Montalcino at both entry and prestige levels — the Rosso at $60 and the Brunello at $100 — alongside a Tenuta San Jacopo Super Tuscan at $70 that holds its own. The white side punches above its weight with a Saint Martin Sancerre at $80, a La Trucha Albariño at $55, and a Tenuta Carretta Gavi that suggests someone has been paying attention to northern Italian whites. The Bordeaux and Bourgogne entries feel a little safe compared to the Italian depth, and the Domaine du Salvard Pinot Noir is technically a Loire Valley Cheverny — mislabeled as Pinot Noir on the list — which is worth knowing before you order expecting Burgundy.
Twelve pours by the glass out of a 20-bottle list is an excellent ratio — nearly the whole cellar is open to you at any given moment. Glass prices run $9 to $16, which is genuinely fair for this level of wine in middle Tennessee. We'd love to see more rotation, but as a standing program it's solid.
Corte Pavone Rosso di Montalcino — $60
Rosso di Montalcino is essentially the younger sibling of Brunello — same Sangiovese Grosso grapes from the same estate, minus the extended aging. At $60, you're getting a serious Tuscan red at a price point that doesn't require a second mortgage. Order this before the Brunello and see if you even need to upgrade.
La Trucha Albarino
Albariño on a cocktail bar menu in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is not something you see every day. Most people will reach for the Sancerre or the rosé and miss this entirely. It's the kind of crisp, saline Atlantic white that makes you rethink what you thought you wanted to drink tonight.
Domaine du Chardonnay Chardonnay
At $80, this is the most expensive white on the list and the label is doing a lot of heavy lifting. 'Domaine du Chardonnay' sounds more impressive than it is — it's a Chablis producer whose entry-level wine regularly retails under $20. The markup here is hard to justify when the Sancerre at the same price is a much better story.
Tenuta San Jacopo Super Tuscan + Charcuterie or Cheese Board
A Super Tuscan — typically Sangiovese blended with Cabernet or Merlot — has the structure to stand up to cured meats and the fruit-forward profile to play nice with aged cheese. For a cocktail lounge format where small plates and boards are likely the move, this is the bottle that does the most work at the table.
The Bottom Line
One of Nineteen is a cocktail bar that quietly assembled a wine list worth taking seriously, and in Murfreesboro that's genuinely surprising. We'd send a wine-curious friend here without hesitation — just steer them toward the Italian side of the menu.

Wasabi is a fun spot for teppanyaki and sushi, but the wine list is an afterthought dressed up as a menu section. Order the plum wine, enjoy the hibachi show, and save the serious bottle for somewhere else.

Blackhorse is a genuinely good brewpub, and you should absolutely order a pint. The wine list, though, is purely functional — it exists so the person at the table who doesn't drink beer has something to order, and it doesn't pretend to be anything more than that.
