The wine list arrives looking like it was designed by a committee in Orlando whose last wine experience was a grocery store end cap. Everything here is recognizable, inoffensive, and almost aggressively safe — which tells you exactly who this list was built for, and it wasn't you.
Thirty to forty wines, almost all of them names you've seen at a Kroger: Meiomi, Ecco Domani, Ruffino, Placido. The Italian angle is there in spirit — Ruffino Chianti, Il Papavero Sangiovese, Danzante Pinot Grigio — but these are entry-level brands picked for brand recognition, not quality or terroir. California shows up with Meiomi Pinot Noir doing the heavy lifting for the crowd that 'doesn't really drink red wine.' There's no depth here, no discovery, no small producer worth getting excited about — just a list that checks boxes and moves on.
Eight to twelve pours by the glass, priced around $7–$10, which sounds reasonable until you realize these same bottles retail for $10–$14 at the grocery store down the road. The rotation doesn't rotate — what's on the menu today was on the menu six months ago and will be there six months from now. Credit where it's due: there's enough range to cover white, red, and sweet without much drama.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling — $8/glass
Chateau Ste. Michelle is legitimately one of the best producers in Washington State, and their Riesling punches well above its price point. Off-dry with real structure, it's the one pour on this list that comes from somewhere with a real winemaking story. In this context, it's the clear move.
Il Papavero Sangiovese
Most tables here are ordering Meiomi or Pinot Grigio on autopilot. The Il Papavero Sangiovese is the one red on the list that at least gestures toward what Italian wine actually tastes like — bright acidity, some earthy grit. Skip the fruit bomb and give this a shot.
Meiomi Pinot Noir
Meiomi retails for around $14 a bottle everywhere, and it's a mass-produced, heavily manipulated Pinot built to taste like dessert. At chain restaurant markup, you're overpaying for something that's already not worth full price. There's nothing here a more interesting red can't do better.
Ruffino Chianti + Chicken Parmigiana
Chianti and tomato sauce is a classic for a reason — the Sangiovese grape has enough acidity to cut through the marinara and match the richness of the breaded chicken without stepping on either. Ruffino is hardly an exciting bottle, but in this context it's the right call.
❌ The Bottom Line
Olive Garden's wine list exists to check a box, not to make you a better drinker. Grab the Chateau Ste. Michelle if you want something worth finishing, but honestly — nobody's coming here for the wine, and the list knows it.

Bull's is a reliable casino steakhouse wine list — not adventurous, not cheap, but staffed by someone who cares and stocked with bottles that hold up. Send a friend here if they're already at the casino; don't drive to Biloxi just for the wine.

The Toasted Yolk is a solid breakfast spot that has no business being reviewed for its wine program — and that's really the point. Come for the omelets, order a mimosa if they've got one, and don't expect the wine list to do any heavy lifting.
