Wingman Metrics
BLT Prime's wine program is built entirely around by-the-glass pours — all 22 options are glass, no bottle list in evidence. It's an unusual call for a steakhouse, but the pricing is surprisingly reasonable for New York, and the selection covers enough ground to keep things interesting.
The list punches above its weight given its size. You get Rhône representation through M. Chapoutier at multiple price points, some credible Italian coverage via Donnafugata and Barone Ricasoli's Chianti Classico Riserva, and a Washington State thread running through Luke's Bordeaux blend, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. The gaps are real — no Pinot Noir from Burgundy, nothing from Spain, and the Napa Cabernet slot is held by the Oberon rather than anything with serious cellar credibility. Still, for a by-the-glass-only program, the regional spread shows someone made intentional choices.
Twenty-two pours across sparkling, white, rosé, and red — that's the whole program, so you'd better like your choices. Prices run $16 to $28 per glass, which is restrained by Manhattan standards. The Dutton-Goldfield Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2021 at $28 is the top of the range, and the Spellbound Prosecco at $16 is the floor — not a bad spread.
The Bottom Line
BLT Prime's wine program is glass-only, which limits your options if you came for a big bottle moment, but the pricing is honest and the selection is more thoughtful than most steakhouses bother with. If you're keeping it casual and ordering by the glass, you can drink well here without feeling taken advantage of — and that's not nothing in this city.

The Palm Midtown is not where you'd expect to find Puzelat and Ruth Lewandowski sitting next to each other on a wine list — which is exactly what makes it worth a second look. Six bottles is a short menu, but all six are defensible picks at prices that don't insult you. If you're in the mood to trust the list and not overthink it, this works.

Murray Hill · New York · Classic American Steakhouse
Wolfgang's is a reliable steakhouse wine experience in the sense that you know exactly what you're getting: a list built around the bottle you already know, priced for the room you're sitting in. If you're here to close a deal over a Porterhouse for Two, the wine list will do its job without embarrassing anyone — but it's not going to surprise you, and it's almost certainly going to cost more than it should. Go in with eyes open and a strong second-choice red in mind.

Zaytinya's wine list is a rare thing in New York: a focused, regionally coherent program that commits hard to Greek and Eastern Mediterranean varieties without making you feel like you need a flashcard to order. The by-the-glass selection alone — 18 options, all under $18, featuring producers most wine lists wouldn't touch — makes this worth visiting even before the food arrives. If you eat here and order a Cabernet, that's on you.

SoHo · New York · Italian
A long bottle list with Italian, Burgundy and Champagne sections, fronted by a 22-wine glass page. For a glass, try the Skerk Orange Wine from Friuli at 25/95, and for a bottle on a lighter budget, the Volpaia Vermentino at 60; upstairs in the café, the labeled list pours Palistorti di Valgiano's orange Tuscan blend at Glass $22. Confirm prices before you order, because the site's Upstairs Café dinner menu and the beverage PDF do not match. This unrated guide covers the posted wine lists, not service, storage or markups.
Midtown East · New York · American, French
A Park Avenue restaurant whose posted wine list is a 21-wine glass list. Start with the $18 Leitz Riesling or the $19 Ogier Saint-Joseph. No bottle list is posted online, so ask the restaurant what is available by the bottle. This unrated guide covers the posted glass list, not service, storage or markups.
Hudson Yards · New York · American, Seasonal
A hotel restaurant whose list opens with a 13-pour glass page and then moves through Champagne, Burgundy, Austria and other regions. Start with the $29 Prager Grüner Veltliner or the $24 Do Ferreiro Albariño by the glass alongside the chilled oysters, and confirm current pricing since the list is dated 09.30.26. This unrated guide covers the posted wine list, not service, storage or markups.
· Raleigh · Steakhouse
Perry's Raleigh is a competent steakhouse wine list — nothing more, nothing less. The near-universal by-the-glass access is a genuine win, and the Perrin Côtes du Rhône and Kesseler Riesling give you something worth drinking if you look past the front-of-list crowd pleasers. Just don't come here expecting discovery; come here expecting reliability.

Perry's wine list is exactly what you'd expect from a polished Texas steakhouse chain — familiar names, broad by-the-glass coverage, and markups that remind you where you are. It's not a destination for wine, but the 41-glass-pour lineup means you won't go thirsty, and the Perrin Côtes du Rhône or Marques de Caceres Rosé will get you through dinner without overpaying. Send a friend here for the pork chop; tell them to pick carefully from the wine list.

· San Antonio · Steakhouse
Bob's Steak & Chop House San Antonio does exactly what a steakhouse wine list is supposed to do — it gives you recognizable producers, a respectable Champagne section, and enough California Chardonnay to satisfy the table. It won't excite anyone looking for adventure, and pricing at a place like this rarely favors the customer. But if you're here for the beef and want a bottle that won't require a conversation, the list delivers.
