The wine list at Mancy's reads exactly like what you'd expect from a polished, wood-paneled Toledo institution — familiar names, safe bets, nothing that's going to make your jaw drop. It's short at 17 labels, but every single one of those bottles is also available by the glass, which is either impressively flexible or a sign that nobody's buying full bottles. We'll call it a draw.
The list leans hard on California Cabernet, which makes sense for a steakhouse slinging hand-cut ribeyes and filets — Bonanza, Robert Mondavi Estate, and Daou's 'Pessimist' cover the accessible-to-mid-range Cab spectrum without much adventure. There's a nod to the old world with the Clarendelle by Château Haut-Brion Bordeaux 2016 and the Listra Toscana Rosso, and a flash of intelligence with the Selbach Estate Riesling, but this list isn't trying to surprise anyone. What's missing is depth — no real exploration of Burgundy, Rhône, or anything that would push a wine-curious diner to linger over the list.
The by-the-glass program is unusually broad for a 17-bottle list — everything pours by the glass, ranging from $7 to $26. That kind of access is genuinely good for a table that can't agree on a bottle, and the Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc and Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay give white drinkers a fighting chance. The Moet & Chandon Imperial by the glass at the top end of that range is a fun touch for a celebratory steakhouse crowd.
Daou 'Pessimist' Cabernet Blend Paso Robles — $28
At $28 a bottle, the Pessimist is a legitimately good Paso Robles Cab blend that typically retails around $18-20 — the markup isn't thrilling, but it's the most interesting wine on the list at the most defensible price point.
Selbach Estate Riesling Germany
Nobody orders Riesling at a steakhouse, which is a mistake — Selbach is a serious producer from the Mosel, and an off-dry Riesling cuts through a fatty ribeye better than half the Cabs on this list. It's flying under the radar and that's a shame.
Moet & Chandon Imperial France
At $98 a bottle, this is a 4x-plus markup on a bottle of non-vintage Champagne that retails around $40-45. There are better ways to celebrate in Toledo.
Clarendelle by Chateau Haut-Brion Bordeaux 2016 + Hand-cut Ribeye
A Bordeaux blend with some age on it against a well-marbled ribeye is a classic for a reason — the structured tannins and dark fruit in the Clarendelle work with the char and richness of the steak in a way the California Cabs on this list can't quite match.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Mancy's is a solid Toledo steakhouse with a wine list that does its job without doing much more — you won't be wowed, but you won't be stuck drinking something terrible with your filet either. Send your friends here for the steak; if they care about wine, point them toward the Pessimist or the Riesling and call it a night.

There's one reason to come here for wine: Thursday. Half-price bottles on a standing weekly basis is a genuinely good deal, especially on the Santa Margherita. Any other night, the markups are steep and the list doesn't justify them.

Element 112 has one of the most genuinely surprising wine lists in the Toledo area — Old World depth that punches well above its zip code — but the California markups are a tax on laziness you should refuse to pay. Come on a Wednesday, stick to the European side of the list, and you'll leave very happy.

Outback Toledo's wine list is a corporate placeholder, not a wine program — it keeps the table from going dry but gives you zero reasons to think carefully about what you order. Stick to the Ste. Michelle Riesling or save your enthusiasm for the Bloomin' Onion.

The wine list at Olive Garden Toledo is a corporate afterthought dressed up as a selection — overpriced relative to quality, built to please no one in particular, and completely interchangeable with every other location in the country. Order the Chianti if you must, drink the Moscato if you want something fun, and save your real wine curiosity for a restaurant that earns it.

Carrabba's Toledo isn't a destination for wine — but it's not an embarrassment either. The Ruffino Chianti Classico alone earns its keep, and if you stick to the Italian side of the list, you'll drink reasonably well without drama.

Black Cloister is one of Toledo's better craft beer destinations, and the wine list knows it — it's not trying to compete, just to exist. Order the beer, love the beer, but if someone at your table insists on wine, the Angeline Pinot at $5 a glass is at least priced like they respect you.
