Walking into Little Pearl, you expect a cute neighborhood seafood spot with a predictable list of safe whites and a token Cab. What you get instead is 85 labels with real ambition — Burgundy premiers crus, grower Champagne, and a house Pinot Noir with the restaurant's name on it. This place is swinging above its weight class and mostly connecting.
The list splits time between California and France with enough conviction in both directions to feel intentional rather than scattered. On the Burgundy side, you've got Domaine Marc Morey's Chassagne-Montrachet 'En Virondot' Premier Cru and a Domaine Buisson Charles Meursault — two solid white Burgundy picks that make sense in a seafood context. California gets a deep Cab bench: Chateau Montelena, Checkerboard Kings Row, Groth Reserve, and Peter Michael's L'Apres Midi Sauvignon Blanc doing something actually interesting. The Elvio Cogno Barolo and Perrin Les Sinard Chateauneuf round out the Old World with some muscle. What's missing is anything remotely adventurous — no natural wine, no skin-contact, no obscure producers — but for a neighborhood restaurant in Key West, this is a genuinely thoughtful effort.
Twelve pours by the glass at $10–$18 is a reasonable spread for this zip code. We'd love more rotation here — the program feels set-and-forget rather than actively curated — but the range of glass prices suggests they're not just pouring the cheapest stuff available. Ask your server what's open and how long it's been sitting; in a warm climate, turnover on the BTG list matters.
Lange Little Pearl Cuvée Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley — $70
A house cuvée made for the restaurant by Lange Estate in Oregon — that's not a marketing stunt, that's an actual collaboration. Willamette Pinot at this price point with a custom label is both a smart buy and a fun story to tell at the table.
Turley 'Buck' Cobb Vineyard Zinfandel, Amador County
Everyone at a seafood restaurant is reaching for white wine, which means this Turley single-vineyard Zin sits quietly on the list while the Cabs get all the attention. Turley's Amador stuff is grippy and old-vine serious — order it with the heartiest fish or shellfish preparation on the menu and don't apologize to anyone.
Chateau Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Calistoga
Montelena is a legend and the wine earns its reputation, but at $255 on a restaurant list in Key West — without retail pricing transparency — you're paying a serious premium for the name. This is the kind of bottle that feels right until you look it up later. Save it for a wine shop.
Domaine Buisson Charles Meursault + Locally sourced fresh fish preparation
A properly structured Meursault has enough texture and richness to hold up to whatever the gulf is offering that day without bulldozing the fish. It's the no-brainer pairing at a place like this — and the fact that they have it on the list at all is the point.
The Bottom Line
Little Pearl punches well above what a Key West neighborhood seafood spot has any business doing with its wine list. The markup will sting on a few bottles, but the selection itself shows genuine care — and the Lange house Pinot alone is worth the visit.

Moondog isn't a wine destination, and it doesn't pretend to be — but it offers a surprisingly considered little list at prices that don't insult your intelligence, which puts it well ahead of the tourist-trap cafes clustered around it. If you're in Old Town and want a glass with your morning or a light lunch, there are worse decisions you'll make in Key West.
