The wine list at Lil' Deb's doesn't look like anything else in the Hudson Valley — or anywhere, really. It reads like someone with strong opinions and zero interest in playing it safe built it from scratch. You're not here to order a Malbec.
This is a tight, intentional natural wine list spanning six countries in under 60 bottles — Germany, Spain, France, Chile, Croatia, and the US all showing up in a room that smells like jerk chicken and tropical flowers. The producers are obscure by design: 2 Naturkinder out of Franken doing a Müller-Thurgau/Riesling/Sylvaner blend, Clai from Croatia pouring a Refosco-Merlot called Ottocento, and Viñedos Herrera Alvarado bringing a skin-contact Chardonnay from Chile's Marga Marga Valley. It's the kind of list where you won't recognize half the names, and that's exactly the point. The gaps are real — no deep verticals, no classic Burgundy or Napa anchor — but that's not the restaurant Lil' Deb's is trying to be.
By-the-glass specifics weren't confirmed during our visit, so we can't give you a reliable count or rotation schedule. What we can say is that the staff knows this list cold and can steer you toward a glass pour that fits your mood — ask them directly and you'll get a real answer, not a blank stare.
Rose d'Eon, Jean-François DeBourg, Languedoc-Roussillon — Gamay 2020 — null
Languedoc Gamay from a natural producer in this format is almost always underpriced relative to its Beaujolais cousins. It fits the restaurant's energy perfectly — bright, low-intervention, and easy to finish before the tostones are gone.
Fledermaus, 2 Naturkinder, Franken, Germany — Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Sylvaner 2019
A field blend from Franken is not what anyone expects to find next to a plate of jerk chicken, and that's exactly why you should order it. 2 Naturkinder are cult producers in German natural wine circles, and Fledermaus — German for 'bat' — delivers the kind of textured, herbal weirdness that makes natural wine worth hunting down.
Ottocento, Clai, Croatia — Refosco, Merlot 2015
Clai is a serious producer and the wine is legitimately interesting, but a 2015 Croatian red at a tropical Latin restaurant is a tough ask. Unless you're specifically chasing aged structure, the food here is going to run right over it.
Macerado 69, Viñedos Herrera Alvarado, Marga Marga Valley, Chile — Chardonnay 2019 (orange) + Tostones
A skin-contact Chardonnay from Chile brings enough grip and oxidative funk to stand up to fried plantains without drowning the salt and starch. The textural weight matches, and the slight bitterness on the finish cuts the oil cleanly.
🎲 The Bottom Line
Lil' Deb's doesn't have a wine list — it has a point of view. If you're open to drinking something you've never heard of in a room that feels like no other restaurant in upstate New York, this is exactly where you should be.

Wm. Farmer & Sons isn't going to make you rearrange your weekend for the wine list alone, but it's doing real things — Weinbach, Bedrock, fair prices — in a room that earns the pour. Send a friend here for dinner on a Thursday and tell them to order the mussels and the Riesling.
