Wingman Metrics
Eight wines. That's it. The wine list at Le Mekong is less a list and more a paragraph — the kind of thing that gets printed once and laminated until it yellows. To their credit, everything is priced fairly enough that you won't feel robbed, but there's not much here to get excited about.
The list reads like the rep left behind whatever was on the truck that week: Louis Martini Cab, Souverain Merlot, two Cono Sur bottles, Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio, J Lohr Chardonnay and Riesling, and an Iless Sauvignon Blanc. It's a snapshot of mid-tier supermarket California and Chilean wine with no real through-line. There's nothing from the Old World, nothing remotely adventurous, and no effort to match the wine program to the cuisine — Vietnamese food is a natural home for aromatic whites and lighter reds, and this list mostly ignores that opportunity. The two Cono Sur bottles are the only hints that someone thought about value over recognition.
Every bottle on the list is also available by the glass, which makes this technically an eight-pour-by-the-glass program. Prices run $7–$9 per glass and $25–$34 per bottle, which is honest math — roughly the standard 3–3.5x restaurant markup. There's no rotation here; what you see is what you get, indefinitely.
The Bottom Line
Le Mekong clearly puts its energy into the kitchen, not the wine cellar — and that's probably the right call. If you're eating here, grab the Cono Sur Pinot Noir or the J Lohr Riesling and focus on the food. Don't come here for the wine list; come here despite it.

· Johns Creek · Mediterranean/Greek/Middle Eastern
Persian Basket has put together a wine list that respects both its guests and its cuisine — fair pricing, real producers, and a by-the-glass selection that gives you options beyond the obvious. It's not a destination wine list, but it's the kind of list that makes a neighborhood restaurant genuinely better. If you're heading there for food, the wine won't let you down.

Noosh Kitchen's wine list is competent, fairly priced, and built for the broadest possible audience — which means it won't thrill anyone looking for something interesting, but it won't embarrass you either. The markup is honest and the by-the-glass selection is generous. Go for the Chehalem Chardonnay or the Barone Fini, eat the food, and don't expect the list to do anything unexpected.

CRÚ is doing something right in the sparkling department — a Champagne and bubbly selection this broad is rare in Johns Creek, and it earns the place real credit. The markups run steep across the board and the still wine list plays it very safe, but if you're meeting friends for a bottle of bubbles before dinner, this is a legitimate destination. Go in with the sparkling list in mind and you'll leave happy.

Pasta Vino isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — it's a neighborhood Italian with a list that actually makes sense for the room. Pricing is fair across the board, the by-the-glass program gives you real options, and the Italian selections (especially the Chianti duo and the Lugana) show some genuine thought. Send a friend here for dinner knowing they'll drink well without overpaying.

Foundation Social Eatery is doing something genuinely interesting with wine in a suburban Atlanta market that rarely rewards the effort. The list is compact but purposeful — old world bones, a few left-field picks like the Gönc orange wine, and enough variety to revisit without repeating yourself. We'd send a curious wine-drinking friend here without hesitation, especially if they're tired of the same Napa Cab parade.

Marlow's Tavern Johns Creek isn't trying to be a wine destination and it doesn't pretend otherwise — but the pricing is fair, nearly everything is available by the glass, and a few genuine finds (the Vinho Verde, the White Malbec) reward anyone willing to look past the usual suspects. If you're here for dinner and want a solid glass without overthinking it, you're in good hands.

Sake is a Japanese steakhouse first and foremost, and the wine list makes that priority crystal clear — wine is an afterthought here. Order the sake, order a cocktail, or bring your own if corkage allows. The wine program offers nothing worth seeking out.

Ichiban's wine list is exactly what you'd expect at a solid suburban steak-and-sushi spot — recognizable producers, honest prices, and near-universal by-the-glass availability. It won't excite you, but it won't embarrass you either. If you're here for the food, the Alamos Malbec at $28 a bottle keeps things easy and affordable.

Spice and Sky's wine list is a low-effort placeholder — familiar brands, steep markups on accessible wines, and no apparent thought given to how wine interacts with an Asian kitchen. If you're here, start with the Bex Riesling for $9 and call it a night. For serious wine drinking, look elsewhere.
