Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Sake fits on a cocktail napkin — literally five items, two of which are plum wine. This isn't a wine program so much as a legal obligation to offer wine. If you came here hoping to find something interesting in the glass, recalibrate immediately.
There are exactly two distinct wine options here: a house wine and a plum wine. The rest of the list is a margarita wine cocktail and repeat listings at bottle prices. No regions, no producers, no grape varieties — nothing to indicate anyone gave this more than five minutes of thought. Calling this a wine list is generous; it's more of a wine acknowledgment.
Three by-the-glass options exist: house wine at $5, plum wine at $7, and a margarita wine cocktail at $6.50. There's no information about what the house wine actually is, which is a problem in itself. The plum wine is the only thing with any identity, and it leans squarely into the Japanese steakhouse aesthetic.
The Bottom Line
Sake is a Japanese steakhouse first and foremost, and the wine list makes that priority crystal clear — wine is an afterthought here. Order the sake, order a cocktail, or bring your own if corkage allows. The wine program offers nothing worth seeking out.

Ichiban's wine list is exactly what you'd expect at a solid suburban steak-and-sushi spot — recognizable producers, honest prices, and near-universal by-the-glass availability. It won't excite you, but it won't embarrass you either. If you're here for the food, the Alamos Malbec at $28 a bottle keeps things easy and affordable.

Spice and Sky's wine list is a low-effort placeholder — familiar brands, steep markups on accessible wines, and no apparent thought given to how wine interacts with an Asian kitchen. If you're here, start with the Bex Riesling for $9 and call it a night. For serious wine drinking, look elsewhere.

Le Mekong clearly puts its energy into the kitchen, not the wine cellar — and that's probably the right call. If you're eating here, grab the Cono Sur Pinot Noir or the J Lohr Riesling and focus on the food. Don't come here for the wine list; come here despite it.
