The Forebay's wine list reads like a resort property playing it very safe — recognizable names, familiar regions, nothing that's going to surprise or offend anyone on a Hershey corporate retreat. Thirty-seven labels is a respectable number for the format, but the list tilts heavily toward crowd-pleasing California producers with the occasional European ringers tossed in for credibility. It's a list built for the broadest possible audience, not for the wine curious.
Whites dominate the list and lean hard on California Chardonnay — Stags' Leap, Franciscan, Black Stallion, Neyers — which is either reassuring or repetitive depending on your patience for that particular grape. The Sauvignon Blanc section throws in a La Porte Blanche Sancerre at $90 for anyone who wants to feel fancy, and there's an interesting outlier in the Tenuta Rapitala Grillo from Sicily that nobody at this restaurant will order but someone should. Reds are thin — we only have a handful of Cabs on the verified list — and the absence of a credible Pinot Noir or Italian red section is a real gap for a steak and seafood concept. The port selections (Taylor Fladgate Vintage Tawny and Sandeman Founders Reserve) are a genuine nod to the dessert crowd and probably the most interesting corner of the list.
Twenty-three by-the-glass options is genuinely impressive for a hotel restaurant and the clear highlight of the program — that's a lot of pours to keep fresh, and it means guests can explore without committing to a bottle. Glass prices run $10–$21, which is fair at the low end but climbs steeply at the top. The Taylor Fladgate Tawny Port by the glass at $21 is the most interesting pour on the board if you're looking for something beyond the obvious.
Luccio Moscato d'Asti — $34
The lowest bottle price on the list, and Moscato d'Asti is genuinely good with dessert or as a light aperitivo — low alcohol, slightly fizzy, crowd-pleasing without being dumb. At $34 in a resort restaurant, you're not getting gouged.
Tenuta Rapitala Grillo
A Sicilian white in a sea of California Chardonnay is practically a hidden gem by definition here. Grillo is bright, citrusy, and has enough texture to hold up to seafood — and most people at this restaurant will walk right past it without a second look. Their loss.
Quattro Theory by Trinchero Sauvignon Blanc
At $69 a bottle, Trinchero's Quattro Theory label is trading way above its actual weight class. This is a perfectly drinkable but fundamentally mid-tier California Sauvignon Blanc that has no business sitting at nearly $70. The Nicolas Sauvignon Blanc at $38 is right there on the same list and is almost certainly the smarter call.
Neyers Chardonnay + Grilled Seafood
Neyers makes a restrained, well-balanced Chardonnay — more Sonoma coastal than buttery Napa — which means it has the structure to complement grilled fish or shellfish without overwhelming it. It's the one white on this list where the winemaking actually does something interesting.
The Bottom Line
The Forebay is a perfectly competent resort wine list — you won't be miserable, but you won't be excited either. If you're already here, lean into the by-the-glass program and chase the Grillo or a port; if wine is a priority, manage expectations accordingly.

Momo's is a pizzeria with a wine list that would embarrass some Italian restaurants with actual tablecloths — fair prices, real producers, and the uncommon generosity of offering everything by the glass. If you're in Harrisburg and want a good bottle with your pie, this is where you go.

Bonefish Grill Harrisburg is a dependable dinner out, not a wine destination — the list is corporate-safe, the markups are real, and nobody behind the bar is losing sleep over vintage variation. Come for the seafood, pick something crisp and white, and set your expectations accordingly.

The Bread Box is clearly here for the bread, the sandwiches, and the café experience — and that's totally fine. The wine list is an afterthought dressed up in familiar labels with markups that don't reward you for paying attention. Stick to the food, order a coffee, and save the wine for dinner somewhere else.

Millworks is a brewery first and a wine destination second, but the wine list punches well above what you'd expect from a place whose tap list is the main event. Come for the beer, stay for a Grüner or a Galen Glen — and tell your wine-skeptic friends it's a brewery so they'll actually show up.

Cork & Fork is doing something genuinely worthwhile in a city where the wine bar concept hasn't exactly taken hold — the list is real, the by-the-glass program is strong, and there are bottles here worth seeking out. Send a friend here if they want something better than a chain restaurant wine list; just temper expectations on staff deep-cuts and don't blow your budget on the Veuve.
