Wingman Metrics
Henry's is a Breakers property doing the American bistro thing — fried chicken, meatloaf, prime burgers — and the wine list plays exactly to that brief. It's not trying to impress you with obscure Jura pours or a deep cellar; it's trying to make sure you have a decent glass of something familiar while you eat well. That's a reasonable goal, and they mostly pull it off.
The list leans hard on recognizable American names — Cakebread, Caymus, Jordan, Duckhorn, The Prisoner — with a few international ringers like Santa Margherita and Veuve Clicquot to round things out. There's no real adventure here: no skin-contact wines, no small producers, nothing that would confuse anyone who drinks wine maybe twice a week. The upside is that the producers they've chosen are genuinely good at what they do; the downside is this list could belong to any upscale hotel restaurant in the country. The four themed flights — red, white, rosé, and sparkling — are a smart touch that adds structure for guests who want to explore without committing to a full bottle.
Somewhere in the 12-18 glass pour range, which is solid for a room this size. The flight format is the real differentiator here — it lets you taste across the list without a full bottle commitment, and it's the kind of thing that actually works well for a casual dinner crowd. Rotation appears limited; this looks like a set-and-forget glass program rather than something that gets refreshed seasonally.
Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon (Alexander Valley) — $110
Retail on Jordan sits around $65, putting this at roughly a 1.7x markup — unusually restrained for a Breakers property in Palm Beach. It's a classic, polished Alexander Valley Cab that punches above its price point and holds its own next to the $185 Caymus without breaking the bank.
Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc
Everyone reaches for the Cakebread Chardonnay or the Prisoner and ignores this. Duckhorn's Sauvignon Blanc is cleaner and brighter than most people expect from a Napa producer — more Sonoma in spirit — and it's almost certainly the most food-flexible white on the list.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio (Alto Adige)
At $60 against a $25 retail price, this is the steepest markup on the list at roughly 2.4x. Santa Margherita is fine wine — competent, inoffensive — but it's the most grocery-store-familiar bottle here and you're paying a Palm Beach premium for something you can grab at Publix for a fraction of the price.
Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon (Alexander Valley) + Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes
Jordan's Cab has enough dark fruit and structure to hold up to the richness of the meatloaf without steamrolling it the way Caymus tends to. The Alexander Valley softness keeps it approachable through the whole plate.
The Bottom Line
Henry's isn't a wine destination, but it's not pretending to be one either — the list is familiar, the markups are fairer than you'd expect from a Breakers property, and the flight program gives you a reason to explore. Send your friends here for dinner without worrying they'll get gouged on wine.
The Square / Downtown · West Palm Beach · Italian trattoria
Il Bellagio is a perfectly decent place to drink Italian wine with Italian food on a warm West Palm Beach evening — just don't expect the list to surprise you, and steer clear of the Santa Margherita markup. Order the Chianti, grab a table on the plaza, and call it a reliable night out.

The Square / Downtown · West Palm Beach · Plant-based/vegan, contemporary
PLANTA West Palm Beach won't disappoint you on wine, but it won't thrill you either — the list is safe, the markups are mostly steep, and the picks are designed for consensus. Come for the food, order the Whispering Angel, and don't overthink it.

The Square / Downtown · West Palm Beach · Tuscan-inspired Italian, coastal Italian
Felice earns its keep with a genuinely Italy-focused list, a Tignanello markup that won't make you wince, and a Monday wine program that should be on your weekly calendar. Not groundbreaking, but reliably good — and in this neighborhood, that's not nothing.

Abe & Louie's is a dependable, well-stocked steakhouse wine program with real depth and knowledgeable staff — it just charges accordingly and rarely colors outside the lines. Send a friend here for a serious bottle of Cab with a prime steak, but tell them to ask the sommelier to find something off the beaten path.

Grato is a reliable wine list for a neighborhood Italian that punches above its weight in by-the-glass options and producer selection — just know the markups skew steep on anything recognizable. Send a friend here for the Pinot and the pasta, not the prestige bottles.

West Palm Beach · West Palm Beach · Wine bar with global small plates
The Blind Monk is the kind of place West Palm Beach didn't know it needed — a genuine natural wine bar with a thoughtful list and a low-key atmosphere that makes you want to stay for another pour. The markups keep it from being a true Rager, but as a Wild Card in a city not exactly known for its wine culture, it absolutely earns a visit.

Warehouse Kitchen + Cork won't win any awards for depth or ambition, but it plays its hand honestly — fair prices, solid local representation, and a full by-the-glass program that respects your wallet. If you're in Traverse City and want a glass of something local with a water view, this works.

Sunnyside is a casual lodge restaurant wearing a serious wine list under its flannel — the markup is steep and it won't win any awards for staff expertise, but the producer lineup is legitimately impressive for where you're sitting. If you're already at the lake, this is absolutely worth ordering a real bottle.
