Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Great Full Gardens is exactly what you'd expect from a health-forward spot in Midtown Reno — short, approachable, and not trying to show off. It's a libations list that knows its lane: grab something cold, eat something good, feel okay about yourself on the way out. No pretense, no deep cellar, no regrets.
The list runs 20-35 bottles deep with a near-exclusive focus on California, which makes sense given the regional sourcing ethos. You're looking at workhorse producers like Angeline, Ancient Peaks, and Giocato — reliable, crowd-pleasing names that won't challenge anyone but won't disappoint either. There's no real old-world representation, no natural wine flirtation, and nothing that's going to make a wine nerd's eyes light up. That said, for a grain bowl and farm salad kind of place, it's genuinely fit for purpose.
Eight to fourteen pours by the glass is a solid count for a casual spot this size, and the pricing is kept mercifully low — most options hovering around $8-9 a glass. The selection skews white and light, which actually makes sense when you're staring down an acai bowl or a veggie burger. Rotation appears minimal; this feels like a set-it list rather than one that evolves with the seasons.
Giocato Pinot Grigio — $9
At $9 a glass on a wine that retails around $15, the markup is among the most reasonable on the list. It's a breezy, no-fuss pour that actually fits the food here — and you're not getting gouged for the privilege.
Ancient Peaks Sauvignon Blanc
Most people at a place like this reach for whatever Chardonnay is cheapest, but the Ancient Peaks Sauv Blanc from Paso Robles is the smarter move. It's got enough acidity and citrus energy to cut through dressed salads and grain bowls in a way the Chardonnay options simply don't.
Angeline Chardonnay
At $8 a glass it seems like a deal, but Angeline is a mass-market brand retailing around $18 — and Chardonnay at this price tier tends to be over-oaked and flat. There are better pours on this list for the same money.
Ancient Peaks Sauvignon Blanc + Farm Salad
The Sauvignon Blanc's bright acidity and green herb notes are a natural match for whatever vinaigrette is landing on a farm salad. It keeps the meal feeling light and doesn't compete with fresh vegetables the way a heavier white would.
The Bottom Line
Great Full Gardens isn't a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — and it mostly gets the basics right with fair pricing and approachable pours. If you're here for the food, the wine list won't let you down; just don't expect it to surprise you.

Downtown · Reno · American small plates, tapas-style, steakhouse-influenced
Sierra St. Kitchen punches above its weight for downtown Reno — the list has real producers, genuine range, and a sommelier keeping it honest. Just know the markups are real, and steer toward the Old World and Pacific Northwest bottles where the value hides.

Midtown · Reno · Italian – Tuscan & Coastal
Calafuria isn't trying to be a destination wine list — it's trying to be the right wine list for this restaurant, and it mostly succeeds. Send your friends here if they want something Italian that doesn't feel phoned in; just don't expect fireworks beyond the bottle.

Northwest Reno · Reno · Health-focused American café with organic, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and paleo options
Great Full Gardens isn't a wine destination and it doesn't pretend to be — but for a health-focused café in Northwest Reno, the glass prices are honest and the pours are solid enough to enjoy alongside the food. Send a friend here for lunch, just don't tell them to order the Chardonnay.

LuLou's wine list won't win any awards, but it won't ruin your dinner either — and in a city where restaurant wine programs often feel like an afterthought, that counts for something. Send a friend here for a solid meal with a bottle of Jordan; just don't expect to discover anything new.

Roxy isn't a destination wine program — it's a competent casino steakhouse list with the right bottles for the room. Show up on a Wednesday, order the Jordan at half price, and you'll leave happy.

Gather isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's okay — but the $63 Syrah by the glass and the static, California-heavy list suggest the program hasn't been pushed in a while. Stick to the mid-tier pours, order the Chianti, and enjoy it for what it is: a casual neighborhood spot where the wine won't derail the evening.

Copper Spoon proves you don't need a 200-bottle binder to run a thoughtful wine program — you just need to care about what you put on the list. For Fort Wayne, this is genuinely one of the better places to order a bottle without second-guessing yourself.
