Twenty-six labels isn't a lot, but Georgie's earns respect fast — this isn't a list assembled by someone who just Googled 'popular wine brands.' The range runs from solid Champagne options down to a Duchman Vermentino, which tells you someone here actually thought about what goes with a seafood-forward menu. It's tight, focused, and mostly sensible.
The list leans heavily white and sparkling, which makes complete sense for a coastal concept in Central Texas. You get some genuine standouts: Terras Gauda Abadia Albariño, Ceretto Blange Arneis, and Domaine Delaporte Sancerre are all legitimate picks with real credentials. The reds are thin — Banshee and Lingua Franca Pinot Noir plus a Château des Jacques Gamay and a San Polo Sangiovese — but none are embarrassing, and the Château des Jacques is genuinely interesting. The weak link is the Josh Cellars Chardonnay, which sticks out like a sneaker at a black-tie dinner among otherwise thoughtful selections.
Thirteen by-the-glass options out of 26 total labels is a strong ratio — essentially half the list is available by the pour, which we appreciate. Glass prices run $11–$25, keeping things accessible without feeling like a happy hour menu. We'd love to see rotation or a featured pour program, but what's here is solid enough to work with.
Terras Gauda Abadia Albariño — $48
Terras Gauda is a benchmark Rías Baixas producer, and $48 for this bottle is honest pricing. Bright, saline, and built for seafood — exactly where you want to be at Georgie's.
Duchman Vermentino
A Texas-grown Vermentino at $42 that most people will walk right past. Duchman does serious work with Italian varieties in the Texas Hill Country, and this is a genuinely food-friendly white that fits the room better than half the imports on the list.
Josh Cellars Chardonnay
At $44 a bottle, you're paying restaurant markup on a grocery store wine. Everything else on this list gives you more to talk about — order literally anything else.
Domaine Delaporte Sancerre + Fresh Oysters
Delaporte's Sancerre has the mineral edge and citrus lift that makes a cold oyster taste like the ocean got even better. Classic match, and at $84 it's the move when you're going raw.
The Bottom Line
Georgie's isn't trying to be a destination wine list, but it's doing the right things for its size and concept — fair prices, smart whites, and a Texas producer that earns its spot. For Georgetown, this is genuinely above average, and we'd send a friend here without hesitation.

Sovian is doing something genuinely unexpected for suburban Texas: building a serious sparkling wine program in a steakhouse format, with real producers and real depth. Markup keeps it from being a Rager, but the sheer specificity and ambition of the list earns it a Wild Card without hesitation.
