First Impression
The wine list at Flint reads like a California greatest hits album — and honestly, that's not a knock. This is downtown OKC, not SoHo, and the list is curated with enough intention to earn its Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2023. It's focused, approachable, and won't embarrass anyone at the table.
Selection Deep Dive
With 150-250 bottles, Flint leans hard into California — Napa Cabs, big Chardonnays, and crowd-pleasing names that regulars recognize. Silver Oak, Stag's Leap, Jordan, Caymus, Opus One — these are reliable anchors, not adventurous picks, but they're well-chosen within their lane. Don't come looking for Loire Valley Muscadet or Sicilian Nerello Mascalese; this list isn't trying to surprise you. What it does do is give a Southern American comfort food restaurant a wine program that feels proportionate to the food and the room.
By the Glass
Twenty to thirty-five by-the-glass options is a genuinely strong pour program — most upscale casual spots top out around fifteen and call it a day. Glass pours run $12–$18, which keeps things accessible without feeling cheap. There's no evidence of a regular rotation or half-price program, so what you see is what you get night after night.
Jordan Winery Cabernet Sauvignon — $40 (estimated bottle entry point)
Jordan punches above its price in the Napa/Sonoma Cab category — structured, food-friendly, and consistently well-made. Next to Opus One on the same list, it's the sensible move that still looks good on the table.
Duckhorn Vineyards Merlot
Everyone reaches for a Cab here, and Duckhorn's Merlot gets overlooked as a result. It's richer and more textured than most people expect from Merlot, and it holds its own against the bigger names on this list without the bigger price tag.
Opus One
Opus One is always going to carry a restaurant premium on top of its already steep retail price. It's a show-off bottle, not a value play, and at a Southern comfort food spot, you're paying for the label more than the experience. Save it for a different room.
Far Niente Chardonnay + Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls
Stay with us here — Far Niente's rich, full-bodied Chardonnay with its butter and stone fruit character is practically built for Flint's legendary cinnamon rolls at brunch. The wine's natural richness meets the sweetness without getting buried by it.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Flint isn't trying to reinvent the wine list — it's trying to serve good California wine in a great dining room, and it mostly succeeds. Send a friend here if they want a reliably solid wine experience with their chicken fried steak; just temper expectations on discovery.
