Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Chili's Yuma isn't really a wine list — it's a footnote at the bottom of a cocktail menu. You'll find about a dozen bottles that look like they were pulled straight from the end-cap of a grocery store, and the whole program feels like an afterthought compared to the Presidente Margarita front-and-center on every table tent.
Everything here is California or Washington bulk-production territory: Canyon Road, 14 Hands, Beringer, Toasted Head — these are supermarket staples that retail for $7-$12 a bottle. There's a token nod to something slightly more respectable with the J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon, but it's surrounded by so much filler that it feels lost. The Beringer White Zinfandel and Canyon Road Moscato signal pretty clearly who the primary wine audience is here. No Old World, no regional producers, no depth whatsoever.
Everything on the list appears to be available by the glass, which makes sense given the format. Happy hour drops the house red and white to $5 a pour, which is the only time wine at Chili's makes any real sense. Outside of happy hour, pricing is less clear — and less compelling.
House Red Wine (happy hour) — $5
At $5 a glass during happy hour, you're not drinking well, but you're not getting gouged either. It's the one moment on this list where the math doesn't actively insult you. Go in with zero expectations and you'll survive.
J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon
It's the only wine on this list that a person who actually drinks wine would recognize as a decent bottle. J. Lohr Seven Oaks consistently punches above its price class — soft tannins, ripe dark fruit, reliably drinkable. In this lineup, it's the clear standout, though 'hidden gem' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
Beringer White Zinfandel
Sweet, pink, and built for people who don't want to taste wine. Nothing wrong with that in the right context, but you can buy a bottle at Walmart for under $7 — there's no reason to order this at a restaurant at any markup.
14 Hands Merlot + Baby Back Ribs
14 Hands Merlot is soft, fruit-forward, and low in tannin — exactly what you want against smoky, saucy ribs that would steamroll anything with more structure. It's not a sophisticated pairing, but it works, and sometimes that's enough.
The Bottom Line
Chili's Yuma is a place to drink a margarita and eat fajitas, and there is absolutely no shame in that. Just don't come here for the wine — order a cocktail, enjoy your ribs, and save the bottle of wine for somewhere that actually cares.

Cracker Barrel is not a wine destination and has made absolutely no effort to be one. Order the biscuits, maybe get a mimosa if the mood strikes, and save your wine curiosity for literally anywhere else.

Logan's Roadhouse isn't here for wine people, and the wine list makes no effort to pretend otherwise. Grab a La Vieille Ferme Rosé or an Underwood Pinot and set your expectations accordingly — this is a beer-and-bourbon room wearing a wine list as a formality.

The wine list at Olive Garden Yuma is a placeholder, not a program — it checks the box without trying to do anything more. Order the Chianti, eat the breadsticks, and save your real wine curiosity for somewhere that shares it.

Old Town Wine Cellar is the kind of place that makes you rethink what a small desert city can pull off — the list is genuinely deep, the prices are almost aggressively fair, and the Coravin program punches it up another level. If you're passing through Yuma or happen to live there, this is your spot.

River City Grill is a genuinely good restaurant with a wine list that hasn't quite caught up to its kitchen. The pricing is steeper than it should be for these labels, but the all-glass availability and reasonable per-pour prices make it a comfortable enough spot to drink well if you know what to order.

J.T. Prime isn't trying to reinvent the steakhouse wine list — it's giving Yuma exactly what Yuma wants with a steak in front of it. Send a friend here if they want a reliable Cab with their ribeye; don't send them if they're hunting for something they haven't seen before.

The Wild Sage is your dependable neighborhood spot in Eagle Ranch — the wine list won't blow your mind, but it won't embarrass you at dinner either. Watch the markups on the top-shelf Napa bottles and stick to the mid-range, and you'll be fine.

Warehouse Kitchen + Cork won't win any awards for depth or ambition, but it plays its hand honestly — fair prices, solid local representation, and a full by-the-glass program that respects your wallet. If you're in Traverse City and want a glass of something local with a water view, this works.

Sunnyside is a casual lodge restaurant wearing a serious wine list under its flannel — the markup is steep and it won't win any awards for staff expertise, but the producer lineup is legitimately impressive for where you're sitting. If you're already at the lake, this is absolutely worth ordering a real bottle.
