Wingman Metrics
You walk into a genuinely beautiful room — lake light, resort elegance, the whole package — and then the wine list arrives and immediately undersells the room. This is a grocery store greatest hits collection dressed up in a leather-bound menu. The setting deserves better.
The list runs 60-100 bottles but don't let the size fool you — this is brand-name California all the way down, with Apothic, Ménage à Trois, and 19 Crimes doing heavy lifting alongside Meiomi and Coppola's Diamond Collection. There's no regional curiosity here, no attempt to dig into a lesser-known appellation or introduce diners to something they haven't already seen at their local Kroger. International representation is thin and mostly tokenistic. For a resort dining room in this price tier, the list reads like it was assembled by someone who defaulted to whatever the distributor rep pushed hardest.
Ten to sixteen pours by the glass sounds encouraging until you realize the range is SeaGlass Sauvignon Blanc to Meiomi Pinot Noir with not much in between that surprises. Prices run $12–$19 a glass, which is fine for a resort but steep when the wines themselves retail for $10–$20 a bottle. There's no rotation or seasonal program to speak of — what you see today is what you'll see in six months.
Meiomi Pinot Noir — $48
At 140% markup it's the least punishing bottle on the list — still overpriced for a $20 retail wine, but relatively speaking it's the closest thing to a fair deal here. If you're committed to ordering a bottle, this is your least-bad option.
Bonterra Chardonnay
It's not exciting, but Bonterra is organically farmed and actually drinks cleaner and brighter than its mass-market neighbors on this list. Most diners will reach for something flashier; this is the quieter, more honest pour.
SeaGlass Sauvignon Blanc
At $32 a bottle for something that retails at $10, you're paying a 220% markup on a wine you can grab at a gas station convenience store. The lake view is free. This bottle is not worth it.
Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Cabernet Sauvignon + Prime Rib
It's not a sophisticated pairing recommendation, but it's an honest one — the Coppola Cab's ripe, straightforward fruit stands up to the richness of Sunday prime rib without fighting it. If you're going full resort-mode, lean into it.

The Chateau Grille earns its reputation on atmosphere and food, not wine — the list is overpriced, uninspired, and coasting on brand recognition. Order a cocktail, or bring your own bottle and ask about corkage.

Saltgrass Pointe Royale isn't a wine destination, but it's not an embarrassment either — fair prices, drinkable pours, and a list that serves its purpose alongside a good steak. Send a friend here for the food; just tell them to skip the Meiomi.

White River Fish House is not your wine destination in Branson, but it doesn't pretend to be — the list is safe, priced fairly, and sensible enough for what the kitchen is serving. Saltgrass is a reliable fallback when you're in Branson with a group that just wants steak and a glass of something familiar — nobody's going home disappointed, but nobody's going home talking about the wine either. If you care about what's in your glass, order the Riesling, skip the Chardonnay, and keep your expectations in check.
