Wingman Metrics
The Carrabba's wine list reads like a grocery store shelf curated by someone who really loves Pinot Grigio — there are four of them, ranging from Ecco Domani to Santa Margherita, as if the entire white wine category were solved by one grape. It's a corporate list doing corporate things, and it's not trying to surprise you.
Fifty-two labels sounds like a lot until you notice the list is padded with duplicates and supermarket staples: Kim Crawford, Kendall-Jackson, Clos du Bois, and Copper Ridge occupy the same real estate that could go to something interesting. The Italian representation is thin — Gabbiano Chianti and the house-label TerraMare wines are about as deep as it gets on that front, which feels like a missed opportunity for a restaurant flying the Italian flag. Sweet whites (Rosatello Moscato, Saint M Riesling, White Zin) get plenty of menu space, which tells you exactly who this list is written for. There are no surprises here, no small producers, no regional Italian curiosities — just the brands you already know from the wine aisle at Kroger.
Forty-four by-the-glass options is an impressive number on paper, but the range — $6.79 to $11.59 per glass — reflects the reality that most of these are entry-level commercial wines poured at chain-restaurant margins. The glass program is essentially the full bottle list, which gives you flexibility but not discovery.
The Bottom Line
This is a chain wine list doing exactly what chain wine lists do: safe brands, predictable pricing, no real curation. The markups are real — Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay at $41 a bottle isn't the restaurant doing you any favors — and the selection never ventures beyond what you'd find at a supermarket. If wine matters to you, this isn't where you're going to find anything to talk about; if you just want a glass of something with your Chicken Bryan, it'll do the job.
· Shreveport · Wine & Cocktail Bar
Bourbon Bar Shreveport is a cocktail bar that happens to stock six bottles of wine, and the wine program reflects exactly that level of investment. Order a bourbon, save the wine night for somewhere else.

Chianti Restaurant is almost certainly the right call for a dressed-up dinner in Shreveport, but we can't give the wine list a real endorsement without more to work with. Come for the lamb chops and veal; approach the wine list with open eyes and a willingness to ask questions.

Frank's isn't a destination wine list, but it's not trying to be — it's a solid neighborhood pour that gets the job done and occasionally surprises you with something like that Santenay. Send a friend here for dinner; just steer them toward the French side of the list.

Downtown / Red River District · Shreveport · Upscale Steakhouse & Seafood
Jimmy's is a perfectly functional steakhouse wine list for a perfectly functional casino steakhouse — it'll get the job done on a business dinner or a special occasion, but don't come expecting to discover anything. Order the Jordan, skip the Caymus, and save the wine exploration for somewhere else.

Fern Avenue / Southern Hills · Shreveport · Neapolitan-style pizzeria and Italian restaurant
Frank's is a Wild Card in the best way — a casual Shreveport pizza spot that built an Italian-focused list with actual intention behind it. We'd send a friend here for wine without hesitation, with the standing instruction to order the Falanghina and stop second-guessing themselves.

Line Avenue / South Highlands · Shreveport · Tex-Mex
Superior Grill is the Wild Card precisely because nobody expects a Tex-Mex place on Line Avenue to stock Cakebread and Merry Edwards alongside a $6 house pour — but here we are. Tuesday half-price wine at the bar is one of the better deals in Shreveport, full stop.

Belden Village · Canton · Italian Chain
Carrabba's Canton isn't a wine destination and doesn't pretend to be — four reds and a seasonal dinner don't make a wine program. Order the cocktail, or BYOB if they allow it.

Romano's Macaroni Grill isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes no attempt to pretend otherwise. Order a $4 house red, enjoy the pasta, and save your wine curiosity for somewhere that earned it.

Olive Garden's wine list is exactly what you'd expect from a national chain that considers breadsticks the main event — functional, safe, and completely unambitious. Come for the pasta, drink the Chianti Classico, and don't expect anything more.
