Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Bourbon Bar Shreveport fits on a napkin — six bottles, one glass pour option, and a roster of names you'd recognize from the grocery store endcap. For a place with 'bar' in the name, the cocktail program is probably the star of the show, and the wine list makes no effort to argue otherwise.
Six labels is not a wine list, it's a wine section. We've got a California-heavy lineup of mass-market staples: Bread & Butter Cab, Josh Pinot Noir, Robert Mondavi Chard, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, and Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot rounding things out from Washington. There's no meaningful regional depth, no producer story, and no surprises anywhere on the page. If you came in hoping for something interesting — a Grenache, a Chablis, anything off the beaten path — you're going to be disappointed.
One by-the-glass option, listed as 'House Wine' at $5. That's it. One. We don't know what's in the bottle, and frankly that mystery is not the fun kind. If you're here for wine by the glass, you're ordering the house pour or you're buying a whole bottle.
Bread & Butter Cabernet — $30
It's the lowest-priced bottle on the list and Bread & Butter is a known, reliable California Cab. Not exciting, but at $30 it's the least you'll overpay relative to what you're getting.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot
Columbia Valley Merlot from Ste. Michelle is genuinely underrated — the winery makes solid, food-friendly wine at an honest scale. It's the one bottle here with a real sense of place, even if the markup stings a bit.
Josh Cellars Pinot Noir
At $43, Josh Cellars Pinot Noir is a $14 retail bottle marked up to the moon. Josh is fine for a Tuesday night at home; it is not fine at nearly 3x retail in a bar setting. Skip it.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio + Unknown — no menu data available
Santa Margherita is one of the most recognizable Pinot Grigios in the country for a reason — it's clean, easy, and crowd-pleasing. If the bar serves any light snacks or charcuterie, this is the move.
The Bottom Line
Bourbon Bar Shreveport is a cocktail bar that happens to stock six bottles of wine, and the wine program reflects exactly that level of investment. Order a bourbon, save the wine night for somewhere else.
· Shreveport · Italian Fine Dining
Chianti Restaurant is almost certainly the right call for a dressed-up dinner in Shreveport, but we can't give the wine list a real endorsement without more to work with. Come for the lamb chops and veal; approach the wine list with open eyes and a willingness to ask questions.

Frank's isn't a destination wine list, but it's not trying to be — it's a solid neighborhood pour that gets the job done and occasionally surprises you with something like that Santenay. Send a friend here for dinner; just steer them toward the French side of the list.

Jimmy's is a perfectly functional steakhouse wine list for a perfectly functional casino steakhouse — it'll get the job done on a business dinner or a special occasion, but don't come expecting to discover anything. Order the Jordan, skip the Caymus, and save the wine exploration for somewhere else.

Frank's is a Wild Card in the best way — a casual Shreveport pizza spot that built an Italian-focused list with actual intention behind it. We'd send a friend here for wine without hesitation, with the standing instruction to order the Falanghina and stop second-guessing themselves.

Line Avenue / South Highlands · Shreveport · Tex-Mex
Superior Grill is the Wild Card precisely because nobody expects a Tex-Mex place on Line Avenue to stock Cakebread and Merry Edwards alongside a $6 house pour — but here we are. Tuesday half-price wine at the bar is one of the better deals in Shreveport, full stop.

Bella Fresca is doing more with five bottles than most Shreveport spots do with fifty, but a wine program this thin can't fully carry a chef's table concept. Come for the food, order the Languedoc, and hope they expand the list soon.

Bar Ana is doing something rare in Atlanta: running a tight, intentional wine list that skips the filler and leans into the interesting. We'd send a curious friend here without hesitation — just be ready to ask questions, because half the fun is figuring out what you're actually drinking.

FIGS is a gorgeous spot to unwind, and if someone else is paying, it's an easy yes — but the wine program is a tourist-trap playbook dressed up in a luxury hotel. Send a friend here for the fireplace and the lamb; tell them to drink carefully.
