Wingman Metrics
The name is Chianti, the vibe is old-school Italian fine dining, and the wine list is — based on everything we can gather — built to match the room: classic, comfortable, and not particularly adventurous. You're not coming here to geek out over grower Champagne; you're coming because it's the nicest Italian spot in Shreveport and it earns that status without much fuss.
The region focus is squarely on Tuscany, which makes sense given the concept, but that tunnel vision can limit the fun. A Chianti-centric list isn't a bad thing when executed well — Sangiovese loves this menu — but without evidence of depth beyond the obvious, we'd expect a lineup of recognizable Italian names and a few California crowd-pleasers filling the gaps. If there's a Barolo or a Super Tuscan hiding in here, great; if it's mostly label-recognition wines at fine dining prices, that's less exciting. We simply don't have enough sourced detail to call this list anything more than circumstantially decent.
Glass pour options are unknown from our research, which is itself a yellow flag — restaurants that lead with their by-the-glass program tend to make it easy to find. At a fine dining Italian spot in this price range, expect somewhere between four and eight pours, likely leaning red and heavily Italianate. Rotation and curation details are a mystery.
The Bottom Line
Chianti Restaurant is almost certainly the right call for a dressed-up dinner in Shreveport, but we can't give the wine list a real endorsement without more to work with. Come for the lamb chops and veal; approach the wine list with open eyes and a willingness to ask questions.
East Shreveport / Fern Avenue · Shreveport · Louisiana / Cajun-Creole
Frank's isn't a destination wine list, but it's not trying to be — it's a solid neighborhood pour that gets the job done and occasionally surprises you with something like that Santenay. Send a friend here for dinner; just steer them toward the French side of the list.

Jimmy's is a perfectly functional steakhouse wine list for a perfectly functional casino steakhouse — it'll get the job done on a business dinner or a special occasion, but don't come expecting to discover anything. Order the Jordan, skip the Caymus, and save the wine exploration for somewhere else.

Fern Avenue / Southern Hills · Shreveport · Neapolitan-style pizzeria and Italian restaurant
Frank's is a Wild Card in the best way — a casual Shreveport pizza spot that built an Italian-focused list with actual intention behind it. We'd send a friend here for wine without hesitation, with the standing instruction to order the Falanghina and stop second-guessing themselves.

Line Avenue / South Highlands · Shreveport · Tex-Mex
Superior Grill is the Wild Card precisely because nobody expects a Tex-Mex place on Line Avenue to stock Cakebread and Merry Edwards alongside a $6 house pour — but here we are. Tuesday half-price wine at the bar is one of the better deals in Shreveport, full stop.

Bella Fresca is doing more with five bottles than most Shreveport spots do with fifty, but a wine program this thin can't fully carry a chef's table concept. Come for the food, order the Languedoc, and hope they expand the list soon.

Novello is the best Italian wine list in Boca Raton you're likely to find, and the BTG program alone is worth the trip. Just go in knowing the markups reflect the zip code, not a bargain hunter's paradise.
