Wingman Metrics
You're in Yountville — ground zero for serious wine country dining — and the wine list at The Restaurant at North Block fits on a business card. Four labels, all by the glass, nothing more. For a region that practically invented ambitious wine programs, this is a swing and a miss.
The full list runs: a Riondo Prosecco, a Domaine Vetriccie Rosé 2024, a House of Brown Chardonnay 2022, and a Poggio All Guardia Red Blend 2022. That's it. No bottles listed, no local producers from the surrounding valley, no depth whatsoever. Being in Napa and offering four wines — none of which are from Napa — is a choice that's hard to defend. Whoever put this list together either ran out of time or ran out of interest.
Every wine on the list is a glass pour, priced between $10 and $13. On the plus side, the pricing is surprisingly reasonable for the zip code. On the minus side, four options is not a wine program — it's a bar cart.
The Bottom Line
The Restaurant at North Block sits in one of the most wine-rich corridors on the planet, and somehow managed to put together a list that maxes out at four pours. The prices are fair, but the effort is not. Come for the food, order a glass of the Vetriccie Rosé, and make peace with the fact that the wine program simply isn't part of the draw here.

RH Yountville is a genuinely beautiful place to drink wine — the room earns that much on atmosphere alone, and the California-forward list will keep most guests happy without any friction. But in Yountville, where the competition includes some of the most serious wine programs in the country, 'happy without friction' isn't the same as memorable. Go for the experience, order confidently by region, and don't expect the list to surprise you.

Goose & Gander is playing a different game than most Napa gastropubs — the Paul Hobbs curatorial thread pulls the list into genuinely unexpected territory, from Armenian Areni to Galician Godello, without abandoning the California core that belongs here. If you're in Yountville and want a wine list that gives you something to talk about, this is the move.

Redd Wood is a genuinely good place to drink wine with pizza in one of the most wine-saturated zip codes on earth — that's not nothing. The sommelier presence and Old World inclusions suggest real intent behind the list, but Yountville markups are real and the full picture of what's on offer isn't something we can fully map right now. If you're heading in, put yourself in the staff's hands and ask what's drinking well tonight — they're likely to have an honest answer.

The Kitchen at Priest Ranch is a one-winery show, and that's exactly the point. If you want to spend an evening exploring what a single Napa estate produces across whites, rosé, Zinfandel, Merlot, and multiple Cabernet expressions — including older large-format bottles — this is a genuinely interesting way to do it. Just don't come expecting breadth or outside discovery. Send a friend here if they love Priest Ranch or want to.

Kenzo Napa is a singular experience for a singular guest — someone who wants to go deep on one Napa estate alongside a Japanese tasting menu and isn't bothered by a complete lack of outside options. If you're hoping to explore, compare, or find a surprise bottle from somewhere else in the wine world, look elsewhere. This list knows exactly what it is, and it's not trying to be anything more.

Clementine earns its reputation as a polished, date-night-worthy Yountville destination, and the wine list appears to hold up its end of the deal — regionally grounded, reportedly solid in range, and suited to a menu built around oysters and wood-fired proteins. That said, you're in Napa, and Napa markups are real; go in with eyes open and a budget that accounts for the zip code. We'd send a friend here for a great dinner and a reliable bottle, just not for a wine-first adventure.

The Hidden House is doing something genuinely unusual for the East Valley — championing Arizona producers alongside accessible Old World options at prices that don't feel like a shakedown. The lack of sourced dish information prevents a complete picture, but the wine list alone is worth a detour. If you're even mildly curious about what Arizona winemaking looks like when it's done right, this is the place to find out.

Sent Sovi isn't a wine destination, but it's a restaurant where the wine list respects the food — and that's rarer than it should be at this price point. If you're driving out to Saratoga for the bacon-wrapped rabbit or the osso buco, you won't feel like an afterthought at the wine stage of the conversation. A solid neighborhood anchor, even if the neighborhood happens to require a reservation.

Benchmark is a genuinely pleasant surprise for Irvine — a short, owner-driven list that punches above its modest size by leaning hard into Paso Robles producers who actually deserve your attention. If you're a Cab-or-nothing drinker, you might feel constrained; if you're willing to follow the owner's enthusiasm toward Law Estate Grenache or a Bodega de Edgar Tempranillo, this list rewards the curious.
