Wingman Metrics
The Iberian Pig hands you a wine list where every single bottle is also available by the glass — all 19 of them. That's either a bold move or a logistical nightmare, and honestly, at a Spanish tapas spot in Decatur, it feels like the former. The range runs from spirit-free ODDBIRD to a Villadoria Nebbiolo, which tells you this list has a personality.
For a 19-label program, there's genuine range here: Italian stalwarts like Felsina Ber Sangiovese and Fratelli Grasso Barbera d'Alba sit next to the Spanish-leaning Más Así lineup covering Alvarinho, Garnacha, and Tempranillo. The Más Así house range feels like a workhorse with range — three different grapes, consistent producer. There's a gap in actual Spanish reds beyond the Más Así Tempranillo, which is a little odd for a restaurant called The Iberian Pig, but the Italian bench is deeper than expected. The inclusion of ODDBIRD Blanc de Blancs as a spirit-free option shows someone was paying attention.
The by-the-glass program is the entire list, which is genuinely rare and genuinely useful — you can try the Andrea Felici Verdicchio at the same price point as the Cora Pinot Grigio and actually make a comparison. Glass pours run $11–$18, which is reasonable for Atlanta in 2024. No visible rotating program, but when everything is already pourable, you don't need one.
Más Así Alvarinho 2024 — $13
Alvarinho at a tapas spot is exactly right — bright, saline, high-acid — and at this price point it's doing more work than the Prosecco options at a similar tier. Good bones for a list anchor.
Andrea Felici Verdicchio
Verdicchio gets ignored in favor of Pinot Grigio by most restaurant guests, which is a mistake. Felici is a serious Marche producer making structured, mineral-driven whites that outperform their price tag. Most tables will order past it. Don't be most tables.
Cora Pinot Grigio 2024
There's nothing wrong with Cora, but when you have Verdicchio and Alvarinho on the same list at similar prices, ordering the Pinot Grigio is just defaulting to the safe choice. The list is trying to show you something better.
Villadoria Bricco Magno Nebbiolo 2023 + Jamón Ibérico
Nebbiolo's high tannin and bright acidity cut through the fat and salt in cured Ibérico in a way that softer reds simply can't. It's a classic European pairing logic — big, structured red with salty, fatty charcuterie — and it works here.
🎲 The Bottom Line
The Iberian Pig's wine list is punching above its weight for a tapas spot with fewer than 20 labels — smart producer picks, all available by the glass, and fair pricing that doesn't make you do sad math. Send a friend here if they actually want to drink well with their patatas bravas.
· Atlanta · Asian gastropub / brewpub
Hopstix is here to sell you craft beer and it does that job well — but the wine list is a genuine overachiever for its context, with fair prices and at least two bottles worth getting excited about. Send a wine-drinking friend here without apology.

Grant Park · Atlanta · Mexican
Mezcalito's isn't a wine destination, but its list punches above its weight on value and has just enough Spanish character to make it interesting. If you're here for tacos, order the Rioja and don't look back.

· Atlanta · Deli / Sandwiches
B-Side is the best argument we've seen for ignoring a restaurant's concept when you're ordering wine — this deli list would embarrass plenty of wine-forward restaurants. Come for the sandwich, stay for the Slovenian blend you've never heard of.

· Atlanta · Italian
Sugo's all-by-the-glass format is a genuine differentiator in Atlanta's Italian dining scene — fair prices, thoughtful Italian regionality, and enough variety to reward the curious without overwhelming the table. Send a friend here if they want to explore Italian wine without the commitment of a bottle.

Beltline · Atlanta · Wine Bar
Hazel Jane's is the kind of wine bar Atlanta quietly needed — curious, approachable, and not afraid to put a grape you've never heard of front and center. If you're willing to let go of the wheel a little, this place will take you somewhere worth going.

Toco Hills · Atlanta · Spanish tapas
Silla Del Toro is the Wild Card of Atlanta's tapas scene — not because it's perfect, but because it's trying harder than it has to, and mostly getting it right. If you're anywhere near Toco Hills, order the Albariño, order the Tempranillo Blanco, and eat something salty.

Downtown · Baton Rouge · Spanish / Tapas
Solera is doing something genuinely uncommon for Baton Rouge: a focused, Spain-first wine list with real picks like Txakolina that you won't find anywhere else in the city. The markups are too aggressive at full price, but show up on a Wednesday and this list punches well above its weight class.

Chattanooga · Chattanooga · Spanish / Tapas
Paloma is a genuine surprise for Chattanooga — a rooftop bar that actually committed to an Iberian wine program instead of defaulting to a lazy domestic list. It's not a deep cellar, but it's exactly the right list for the room.
