Wingman Metrics
The Heathman leans hard into its Pacific Northwest identity — Washington producers anchor the list, and that's a good instinct given what this state is putting out right now. It reads like a hotel wine list that actually tried, which is more than you can say for most hotel wine lists.
The Washington representation is genuinely solid: DeLille Cellars Chaleur Estate Blanc, Col Solare's Red Mountain red blend, and Chateau Ste. Michelle's Ethos Reserve Chardonnay are all credible picks that show someone put thought into this. California and France fill out the edges without much surprise or excitement. The list won't blow your mind on depth or discovery, but it earns its keep as a well-curated regional showcase. The gap is anything adventurous — no Walla Walla Syrah oddities, no skin-contact pours, nothing that makes you put your menu down and text a friend.
Glass pours land in the $14–$22 range, which is standard for an upscale hotel dining room in the Seattle metro. We'd love to see more of the Washington labels showing up by the glass — if you're going to champion the region, let people try it without committing to a bottle. Rotation details aren't confirmed, so ask your server what's actually pouring that night.
Col Solare Red Blend, Red Mountain, WA — ~$90–$120/bottle (estimated)
Col Solare is a joint venture between Chateau Ste. Michelle and Antinori — serious pedigree from one of Washington's best AVAs. If the markup is fair relative to retail, this is the bottle that justifies the dinner. Hit it on a Monday or Wednesday and you're eating well.
DeLille Cellars Chaleur Estate Blanc, Columbia Valley, WA
Most tables here will order red with the wood-fired steak and completely sleep on this Bordeaux-style white blend. DeLille makes some of the best white wine in Washington and Chaleur Estate Blanc is the proof. Order it, drink it with the roasted salmon, and feel quietly superior to everyone around you.
Nine Hats Chardonnay NV
At $55 a bottle — bundled with flatbreads in a deal that still implies a ~$30 bottle value — you're paying nearly 3x retail for a non-vintage grocery store Chardonnay. Nine Hats is a fine $16 weeknight pour at home. It is not a $55 restaurant experience. Step up to the Chateau Ste. Michelle Ethos Reserve for anything close to that spend.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Ethos Reserve Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, WA + Roasted Salmon
The Ethos Reserve has the weight and oak structure to stand up to a rich, wood-roasted salmon without bulldozing it. It's a classic Pacific Northwest move — Washington Chardonnay and Northwest salmon — and the Heathman is one of the better places to run that play.
Monday and Wednesday — 50% off select bottles of wine every Monday and Wednesday. Bottles must be purchased with an entrée and the offer is not combinable with other promotions.
The Bottom Line
The Heathman isn't going to make you rethink your relationship with wine, but it's a genuinely decent hotel list anchored by wines worth drinking — and the Monday/Wednesday half-price bottle deal turns a steep markup into something actually worth your time. Show up on a deal night, order the Col Solare, and you'll leave happy.

Waterfront / Downtown-adjacent · Kirkland · French-American Bistro
Le Grand Bistro Americain is a genuinely lovely spot to watch the sun drop over Lake Washington — but the wine list is coasting hard on that view. Until the markups come down or someone builds a list that actually reflects the French-American ambition of the kitchen, we'd say order a cocktail and save the wine budget for somewhere that earns it.

Sunnyside is a casual lodge restaurant wearing a serious wine list under its flannel — the markup is steep and it won't win any awards for staff expertise, but the producer lineup is legitimately impressive for where you're sitting. If you're already at the lake, this is absolutely worth ordering a real bottle.
