The Belvedere Inn's wine program hits you like a pleasant ambush: it looks like a nice restaurant list until you realize someone behind this thing actually cares. That someone has taste.

Sixty-six labels is a respectable count, but what makes this list sing is the range of conviction behind the picks. You've got Grüner Veltliner from Hiedler, Albarino from Do Ferreiro, Champalou Vouvray, and Louis Michel Chablis Premier Cru sitting alongside Baudry-Dutour Chinon and Gregoire Hoppenot Fleurie — this is a list that leans hard into the Loire and Burgundy adjacents without ignoring Sicily or the Rhône. The red side brings in Elio Altare's Langhe Nebbiolo and Paul Lato's California Pinot alongside a Cotes-du-Rhône that earns its place. Gaps exist — the bottle list beyond by-the-glass isn't fully surfaced here — but what's visible punches well above what Central Pennsylvania usually serves up.

Thirty-four by-the-glass options is genuinely impressive and functionally doubles as the full experience here, especially with a Coravin section unlocking access to bottles that would otherwise stay corked. The range runs from $8 sparkling cider (yes, really) to a $35 Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé pour, with serious stops along the way at $18 for the Etna Bianco and the Sancerre. Rotation cadence is unclear, but the depth of what's currently on pour makes this a by-the-glass destination in its own right.
