Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Texas Roadhouse reads like a gas station cooler inventory — Woodbridge, Barefoot, Sutter Home. If you came here hoping to find something interesting in a glass, you made a wrong turn somewhere around the bread basket.
The entire list is anchored in mass-market California brands that you can find at any Walmart for under $8 a bottle. There's no regional depth, no producer story, no attempt to match the quality of the hand-cut steaks with anything remotely interesting on the wine side. Bota Box Merlot is the most adventurous thing here, and that's a box wine. The list hasn't been curated so much as it's been assembled from a distributor's bargain tier.
By-the-glass specifics aren't published, but given the roster — Josh Cellars Chardonnay, Barefoot Moscato, Sutter Home White Zinfandel — expect the usual suspects poured in standard restaurant stems. Rotation appears nonexistent; this list looks like it hasn't changed since the location opened.
Josh Cellars Chardonnay — null
If you're drinking wine here, Josh is the least offensive option on the list. It's a competent, inoffensive Chardonnay that at least tastes like someone made a real wine. Pricing is unknown but it's the closest thing to a legitimate pour in this lineup.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon
Not a gem by any stretch, but next to the White Zinfandel and Moscato, the Woodbridge Cab at least belongs at a steakhouse table. It's got enough dark fruit to hold up against a ribeye without embarrassing itself.
Sutter Home White Zinfandel
Sweet, pink, and aggressively retro in a way that isn't charming. There's no scenario in which this is the right call next to a hand-cut sirloin. Order a beer or a sweet tea — either would serve you better.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon + Hand-cut Ribeye Steak
It's the best answer to a limited question. The Cab has enough body and tannin to cut through the fat on a ribeye, and at Texas Roadhouse price points, you're not losing sleep over spending up on a better bottle you can't find here anyway.
The Bottom Line
Come here for the steak and the rolls — they're genuinely good. But the wine program is an afterthought at best, and you're better off ordering a draft beer or skipping alcohol entirely than wrestling with this list.
Elmore Avenue · Davenport · Wine Bar & Lounge
The Grape Life is the kind of quietly good wine spot that Davenport probably doesn't fully appreciate yet. It's not trying to be a big-city wine bar, but it's doing more right than most — send a friend here on a Thursday with live music and let the flight menu do the work.

East Davenport Village · Davenport · American Cafe, Bistro and Bar
Brew in the Village isn't trying to be a wine destination and it doesn't pretend to be — but Wednesday half-price wine with a food purchase is one of the better deals in Davenport, and the list is priced fairly enough that you won't feel gouged the other six nights. Send a friend here for a low-key weeknight dinner; just tell them to go on a Wednesday.

Greater Quad Cities / Nearby Illinois Side · Davenport · New American / Hotel Restaurant
5th Avenue Syndicate is doing more than most hotel restaurants bother to do with wine — nearly everything is available by the glass, there are a few legitimate picks in the mix, and the pricing, while steep in spots, doesn't cross into outright insulting. Send a friend here if they want something familiar and competent; just steer them away from the Caymus.

Central Davenport · Davenport · Mexican
Los Primos is a place you go for the food and the margaritas — the wine list is an afterthought and everyone involved seems to know it. Order the cocktails, be happy, and don't let the Merlot talk you into anything.

Red Lobster's wine list exists to check a box, not to enhance your meal. Order the Riesling, enjoy the Cheddar Bay Biscuits, and save the serious wine drinking for somewhere that earned it.

North Davenport · Davenport · Steakhouse / American
Outback's wine list in Davenport is a chain doing the bare minimum — recognizable labels, steep markups, zero ambition. Come for the steak, order the Koonunga Hill if you must have wine, and save your serious wine spending for somewhere that earned it.

River Road · Gatlinburg · Steakhouse, American
The Peddler is a legitimately great steakhouse experience in a gorgeous setting, and the wine list is competent enough to get the job done — but it's a supporting cast, not a destination. Order the Jordan, get the steak, enjoy the river view, and don't expect the list to surprise you.

East Parkway · Gatlinburg · Steakhouse, American
Alamo Steakhouse is genuinely great at what it does — the oak-fired meats are the draw and they deliver. But the wine list is purely functional, overpriced for what it is, and built for tourists who aren't going to push back on a Kendall-Jackson upcharge. Come for the steak, order a bourbon, and save the wine enthusiasm for somewhere else.

Lionshead · Vail · Steakhouse, American
Vail Chophouse is a dependable après-ski and dinner destination that plays its wine program straight down the middle — familiar names, steep but expected mountain-town pricing, and a list that won't let you down if you stick to the California Cabs. We'd send a friend here for the steak and the view, with a note to skip the Josh and go straight to Jordan.
