The wine list at Terra Tempe reads like a greatest-hits album — reliable names, approachable prices, nothing that's going to make your jaw drop. Twenty-five labels isn't a deep bench, but the pricing is honest enough that we're not annoyed about it. This is a wine list built to sell bottles without friction, not to impress.
California dominates, as expected — Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon take up the most real estate, with a solid lineup running from J Lohr up through Far Niente and Flowers for those who want to spend more. There's a decent rosé section with two options (Bieler and Rabble), and the Pinot Noir run — King Estate, Argyle, Walt by Hall, Flowers — is actually the most interesting corner of the list. International presence is thin: New Zealand gets one slot (Wither Hills), France contributes the Champagne options and the Bieler rosé, and that's about it. Reds beyond Pinot Noir and Cab are essentially absent, which is a real gap for a New American kitchen.
Seventeen by-the-glass options is generous for a 25-bottle list — that's a high conversion rate, meaning most of what they carry you can try without committing to a bottle. Glass prices run $9–$17, which is reasonable by Tempe standards. No obvious rotation or seasonal program, though — what's on the menu is what's on the menu.
J Lohr Riverstone Chardonnay 2019 — $38
At $38 a bottle, this is the entry point that actually delivers. J Lohr Riverstone consistently punches above its price class — ripe and approachable without being syrupy — and at this markup it's not a rip-off. Solid house pour energy at a bottle price.
Argyle Pinot Noir
At $68, this Oregon stalwart often gets overlooked next to the flashier Flowers ($82) and the more recognizable Walt by Hall ($66). Argyle's Willamette Valley fruit is consistently well-structured and earthy in a way that California Pinots on this list just aren't. Worth the extra $2 over Walt.
Far Niente Chardonnay
At $150 a bottle, this is the list's prestige anchor — and it probably costs the restaurant around $55–60 wholesale. That's a near 3x markup on a wine you can find at most high-end grocery stores. Save it for a restaurant that's actually doing something interesting with its cellar.
Flowers Pinot Noir + Roasted chicken or salmon (New American menu staples)
Flowers' Sonoma Coast Pinot walks the line between bright red fruit and savory structure — versatile enough to handle a rich roasted chicken or anchor a salmon dish without overwhelming it. It's the most food-forward red on the list.
The Bottom Line
Terra Tempe's wine list is the restaurant equivalent of a reliable sedan — gets you where you're going, no drama, reasonable fuel costs. If you're looking for adventure, you won't find it here; if you just want a decent bottle with dinner at a fair price, you're in good hands.

Salut Kitchen Bar isn't going to make a wine lover's heart race, but it's a perfectly decent place to drink something approachable with Mediterranean food without getting gouged or lectured. Stick to the Naia Verdejo or Yalumba Rosé and you'll leave happy.

Brevardian Riverfront is a dependable dinner destination where the setting does a lot of the heavy lifting and the wine list gets out of the kitchen's way.
