Wingman Metrics
The wine list at StoneBridge Grille & Tavern fits on a sticky note — and that sticky note has two items on it. When a restaurant's entire wine program can be memorized before you sit down, that tells you everything you need to know about how seriously they take the glass in front of you.
Two wines. Full stop. Mer Soleil Silver Chardonnay and Coppola Diamond Claret represent the California-only, crowd-safe minimum of effort. There's no depth to speak of, no regional exploration, no Old World counterpoint, no bubbles, no rosé — just a white and a red from names your uncle would recognize from the grocery store shelf. To be fair, both are competent, widely available bottles, but a wine list this thin signals that wine is an afterthought here, not a priority.
Both bottles on the list are also available by the glass, so the BTG program is essentially the entire program — a 1:1 ratio that tells its own story. At $10-$12 a glass you're not getting gouged, but you're also not getting a choice.
Coppola Diamond Claret — $32/bottle
At $32 a bottle it's the more approachable of the two price points, and the Claret is a soft, easy-drinking red blend that won't offend anyone at the table. It's not exciting, but the bottle price is reasonable enough that splitting one won't sting.
Mer Soleil Silver Chardonnay
Unoaked California Chardonnay tends to get overlooked by people conditioned to expect butter and vanilla from the state. Mer Soleil Silver is the lean, crisp version — closer to a Chablis in style than a typical California blockbuster. Most people here will order the red without a second thought, but the Silver is actually the more interesting pour on this list.
Mer Soleil Silver Chardonnay
At $35 a bottle (or $12 a glass), this is the pricier option on a two-bottle list — and without retail price data to benchmark against, you're largely trusting the house. Given the overall lack of investment in the wine program, there's little reason to go top-shelf here when the top shelf only has one item on it.
Coppola Diamond Claret + Grilled Burger
A soft, blended California red needs something with weight and char to give it something to lean on. A classic grilled burger fits — the fat in the beef rounds out the Claret's mild tannins and the whole thing stays casual and unfussy, which is exactly the vibe here.
❌ The Bottom Line
StoneBridge is a neighborhood bar and grill that serves food, not a restaurant that takes wine seriously — and two labels confirms that. Order a cocktail or a beer and have a good time; just don't come here expecting anything from the wine list.

Antone's isn't a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — the list is fair-priced and honest, which is more than you can say for a lot of places charging twice as much for the same bottles. Send a friend here for dinner without hesitation; just tell them to skip the White Zin.

Leo's isn't destination wine drinking, but it's doing the honest work of a good neighborhood Italian — fair prices, real producers, and enough Italian depth to make the food and wine feel like they belong together. Send a friend here without hesitation.

Blue Wolf Tavern earns its reputation as a great neighborhood spot, but the wine list is an afterthought and everyone involved seems to know it. Stick to the bar menu — the cocktails and beer selection will serve you far better than two grocery-tier pours ever will.

Salvatore's isn't a wine destination, but it's a perfectly functional neighborhood Italian spot where the wine won't embarrass you and Wednesday's half-price bottle deal is genuinely worth planning around. Send your parents here; just steer them away from the Woodbridge.

Station Square Ristorante is the wine list Youngstown doesn't know it has — deep Italian selections, prestige California anchors, and 450+ bottles that would turn heads in any city. The markups are real and there's no dynamic specials program to soften them, but if you're willing to invest in a bottle of Barolo or a Super Tuscan, this place delivers.

L'uva Bella is the kind of place that earns your respect by not pretending to be something it isn't — it's an Ohio winery doing Ohio wine, and at these prices, that's a story worth hearing. Send your most wine-skeptical friend here; they'll leave with a new opinion about Lake Erie and a $14 tab for two glasses.

We wouldn't send a friend here for wine under any circumstances — this list exists to check a box, not to enhance your meal. Order a cocktail, drink a beer, and save the wine for somewhere that gives a damn.

54th Street is a perfectly fine place to eat a burger and drink a cold beer — the wine list is just there because it has to be. If you're set on wine, stick to the Gruet or the Chenin Blanc and let everyone else order the drafts.

CG's is a solid spot to eat a burger before you lose money on the floor — but the wine list is as much of a gamble as the slots, and the house edge is not in your favor. Order a cocktail and move on.
