Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Serafino's is immediately readable — no intimidating deep cuts, no obscure grapes to Google at the table. It's a approachable spread built squarely around the bottles most diners already know and reach for. That's a feature for some guests and a ceiling for others.
The list leans hard into crowd-pleasing California and Italian varietals: Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet anchor the program. There's some internal range within Chardonnay — from a $30 Sonoma Valley option up through Francis Coppola Director's Cut and The Calling at $40-$42 — which gives guests a genuine step-up ladder rather than one anonymous house pour. The Dogajolo White is a Tuscan blend that nods to the Italian theme, and the Weinkeller Riesling is a pleasant outlier in an otherwise Cali-and-Italy lineup. What's missing is any Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, or anything remotely ambitious for an Italian restaurant — no Chianti, no Barolo, no Barbera.
Every bottle on the list is also available by the glass, which is genuinely useful and relatively uncommon for a list this size. Glass prices run $8-$13, keeping entry points low and letting guests explore up the Chardonnay tier without committing to a bottle. The Lunetta Prosecco at $8/glass is a solid aperitivo option that won't break anyone's night.
The Bottom Line
Serafino's wine list does exactly what it sets out to do: give a casual Italian-American dining room a frictionless, affordable wine experience. Prices are genuinely fair, every bottle is available by the glass, and the markup is reasonable across the board. Just don't come here expecting to geek out — if you want Sangiovese with your pasta, you're ordering water instead.

Amalfi is clearly a place people love for the food, the warmth, and the owner-led hospitality — and the wine list seems to know its supporting role. We don't have enough sourced detail on the wine program to make specific recommendations, so go in with reasonable expectations: solid Italian pours at fair prices, nothing adventurous. If the kitchen is this focused on the south Italian coast, we'd push whoever's working the floor toward something white and coastal to go with the Linguine alla Pescatora — and hope they can point you in the right direction.

Six wines at an Italian restaurant helmed by a celebrity chef is not a wine program — it's a placeholder. The markups lean steep (Collet at $100/bottle is a tough sell), there's zero Italian red depth, and the list hasn't been built to match the cuisine. Come for the food if Scott Conant's cooking earns your visit, but manage your wine expectations accordingly.

LaStrada's wine list is honest about what it is: a low-friction, low-drama selection designed for guests who want a glass of something familiar with their pasta. The glass-to-bottle ratio is excellent, markups are fair across the board, and the Valpolicella is a quiet nod to Italian authenticity. Just don't arrive expecting the list to match the cuisine's ambitions — it's a reliable neighborhood companion, not a destination.
