The drinks menu at Salsa Tex-Mex opens with margaritas, frozen drinks, and a full bar — and wine is clearly an afterthought that wandered in and sat down in the corner. Three wines. That's the list. No bottle program in sight, no regions worth discussing, no ambition whatsoever.
We're working with exactly three wines here: two from Concha y Toro (a Cabernet-Merlot blend and a Chardonnay, both Chilean entry-level) and a Beringer White Zinfandel from California. This isn't a wine list — it's a placeholder. Concha y Toro's mass-market tier is fine for what it is, but it's the kind of bottle you grab at a grocery store when you've forgotten there's a dinner party tonight. There are no regional surprises, no independent producers, and no attempt to match the wine program to the bold, spicy food being served.
All three wines appear to be by-the-glass only at $8.50 a pour, with no bottle service evidenced anywhere on the menu. That's a short, flat program with zero rotation — what you see today is almost certainly what you saw six months ago.
Concha y Toro Cabernet-Merlot — $8.50
If you're determined to drink wine here, this is your move. It's a simple, fruit-forward Chilean blend that won't fight the food, and $8.50 is at least honest money for what it is.
Concha y Toro Chardonnay
Nobody ordering tacos thinks to reach for a Chardonnay, but an unoaked Chilean Chard at this price point actually plays reasonably well against a fish taco — lighter than you'd expect and inoffensive enough to not get in the way.
Beringer White Zinfandel
Sweet, pink, and better suited to a 2003 Applebee's. There's nothing here that works with Tex-Mex heat — it just makes the salsa taste sharper and the whole experience sadder.
Concha y Toro Chardonnay + Fish Tacos
The Chardonnay's lighter body doesn't overpower the delicate fish, and the subtle fruit notes hold their own against a squeeze of lime and a hit of crema. It's a modest match, but it's the best option available on this menu.
Wednesday — Wednesday all-day half-price drinks promo — promoted via Instagram and focused on cocktails/house drinks. Wine by the glass is likely included given it's on the standard drink menu, but confirm on-site before making it your reason to show up.
The Bottom Line
Salsa Tex-Mex is a solid neighborhood spot for tacos and a great margarita — the wine list, however, tells you exactly how much thought went into it. Come for the food, skip the wine, and let a frozen cocktail do the heavy lifting.

Dee's Table is a burger spot moonlighting as a casual wine destination one night a week, and there's something genuinely likable about that ambition. Don't come here expecting a deep list — come on a Wednesday, order the Wagyu, and see if the wine keeps up.

CRÚ Legacy West is a champagne bar wearing a wine bar costume, and once you accept that, it actually delivers. Go for the bubbles, skip the $260 vanity bottle, and don't expect a world tour of wine regions — but if you want a solid Champagne night in Frisco, this is where you do it.
