The wine list at Sails reads like a Naples tourist brochure — safe, familiar, designed not to offend. It's the kind of list where you know exactly what you're getting before you even open it: California Chardonnay, Napa Cab, maybe a Whispering Angel for good measure.
The selection sticks to the greatest hits without much adventure. You'll find the usual suspects from Napa and Sonoma, some Italian standards like Antinori and Ruffino, and a Bordeaux or two that probably sit there collecting dust between snowbird seasons. There's enough here to pair with fresh grouper or a steak, but nothing that'll make you text your wine-nerd friends. The list plays it safe because the clientele wants safe — and in a waterfront Naples spot, that's probably the right call even if it's not exciting.
Glass pours lean predictable: a Cakebread Chardonnay here, a Caymus Cab there, prices that make you wince a bit given the pours are likely standard restaurant size. They rotate seasonally at best, which in Naples means twice a year when management remembers. You're not getting adventurous staff picks or natural wine experiments — just dependable bottles that won't generate complaints from the yacht club crowd.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc — $42
Marlborough classic that's crisp enough for Gulf seafood and priced where you expect it — not a steal, but not highway robbery either
Banfi Chianti Classico Riserva
Most tourists skip Italian reds in Florida, but this has the acidity to cut through grouper piccata and enough structure to feel like you're drinking real wine
Butter Chardonnay
Marked up to $48 for a bottle that retails for $18 — the name tells you everything about the crowd it's targeting, and you're paying premium for grocery store juice
Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc + Seared Scallops
The wine's grapefruit zip and minerality play perfectly with sweet scallops and any citrus butter sauce they're swimming in
✔️ The Bottom Line
Sails won't blow your mind, but it won't let you down either. It's competent coastal dining with a wine list built for tourists who want recognizable labels and servers who won't judge their pronunciation.
Naples · Naples · American
Warren is a whiskey bar that does wine correctly, which is more than most can say. Eric Gaboury and the Wine Spectator nod give it credibility, and if you stick to the California producers you know or let staff steer you toward the Burgundy shelf, you'll drink well with your steak.

Mercato · Naples · American
Old Vines is exactly what it needs to be for Mercato — a polished, reliable wine list with genuine depth in its California and French lanes, even if the pricing skews toward the Naples wallet and the list doesn't take many risks. Send a friend here if they want something they recognize done well; send a wine nerd elsewhere.

Shula's is a genuinely impressive California Cab cellar wearing a classic steakhouse suit — the markups sting and the list doesn't wander far from Napa, but if that's your game, this is one of the better places to play it in Southwest Florida. Come on a Wednesday, order the Hillside Select, and stop overthinking it.

Marco Island · Naples · Italian
Sale E Pepe is the rare beachside Italian that takes its wine program as seriously as the frescoes on the walls — the Italian cellar depth is real, the WS credential is well-earned, and it's worth the trip even if the markups sting a little. Send your friends here for Barolo and osso buco; they'll thank you.

Vanderbilt Beach · Naples · Gulf Coast Seafood
Baleen delivers exactly what a resort wine list should: no surprises, no risks, just reliable bottles at premium prices. If you're here for the sunset and fresh grouper, the wine program won't get in the way—but it won't elevate the meal either.

Ocean Prime delivers exactly what it promises: a safe, corporate wine experience that won't embarrass your boss but won't surprise anyone either. Come for the scene and the seafood, order a cocktail, and if you must have wine, stick to the recognizable mid-tier bottles and don't look at the markup too closely.

The Boardwalk at Granite Park · Plano · Coastal American
On a normal night, this is a perfectly serviceable casual wine list at prices that won't make you wince. On Wednesday, with half-price wine and $6 flatbreads, it's one of the better deals in Plano — show up, order the Siduri, and don't overthink it.

Come for the sand and sunset, not the wine program. If you're ordering wine here, stick to something cold, simple, and under $50, and remember you're paying a beach tax. This is a beer-and-margarita spot that happens to have wine.

This is a wine list that doesn't care, at a restaurant that probably makes its money on location, not wine sales. Skip the bottles, order a draft beer, and save your wine budget for somewhere that actually tries.
