Wingman Metrics
Two wines. That's what we're working with here. When a restaurant's documented wine program tops out at a California Cab and a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, it's hard to call that a list — it's more of a suggestion.
The entirety of what we can confirm: M. Mondavi Emblem Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc 2023. Both are perfectly recognizable, widely distributed labels that you've seen on dozens of restaurant lists across the country. There's no depth, no regional exploration, no surprises — this is the wine equivalent of a greatest hits album with only two tracks. Whether a fuller list exists behind the scenes that simply didn't make it into the sourced menu data, we can't say — but what's documented here sets a low bar.
No by-the-glass program could be confirmed from the available data. With only two bottles on record, it's unclear whether pours are even offered, and there's no rotation to speak of.
The Bottom Line
Rick Erwin's Greer may well be a great steakhouse experience, but the wine program as documented is nearly nonexistent — two bottles, steep markup on the Cab, and no evidence of any active curation or by-the-glass program. If you're coming here for wine, bring your own or stick to cocktails.

Two bottles is not a wine list — it's a gap on the menu waiting to be filled. Rick Erwin's Level 10 earns points for choosing recognizable, inoffensive labels, but zero points for effort, range, or value. If wine matters to your night out, this is not your destination in Spartanburg.

Two wines, one producer, no real choice — Rick Erwin's Clemson treats wine as an afterthought and the pricing confirms it. Until this list gets a meaningful overhaul, order a cocktail or ask your server what's on draft.

The Commodore is a Champagne list wearing a full-restaurant costume — if bubbles are your reason for coming, there's enough grower depth (Chiquet, Gimonnet) mixed in with the prestige bottles to make it a legitimate destination pour. But the markups are real, the still wine bench is thin, and we don't have enough visibility into the rest of the experience to call it more than a Wild Card worth knowing about if you're celebrating in the western suburbs of Milwaukee.
