The wine list at Pasta Max Cafe is exactly what you'd expect from a neighborhood Italian spot in McDonough — unpretentious, accessible, and priced to keep you ordering a second glass without wincing. Twenty-eight labels, almost all available by the glass, and nothing here is going to challenge your assumptions about wine.
The list splits into a house tier anchored by Coastal Vines and Glen Ellen starting at $5.50/glass, a mid-tier of Italian-leaning picks like Ruffino Chianti and Luna Nuda Pinot Grigio at $7.25/glass, and a thin premium tier topping out at $8.50/glass. The region focus is heavily domestic and Italian, with a smattering of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc via The Crossing and some Paso Robles representation from Wild Horse. Don't come looking for Barolo or aged Brunello — this list exists to lubricate pasta dinners, not to educate. The Chianti presence (Cribari, Ruffino) is a nod to the cuisine, but neither is going to make an Italian grandmother proud.

At $26 a bottle the pricing won't hurt you, but there's simply not enough information — no producers, no vintages, no effort — to make a confident recommendation on any pour. Cafe Milano's wine list is a placeholder, not a program — Gallo house pours and grocery-store staples with a couple of Ruffino Chiantis to remind you you're at an Italian restaurant.
