The wine list at Moab Brewery is exactly what you'd expect from a place that leads with a 20-tap beer board: an afterthought. Eleven by-the-glass pours, zero bottles, and a lineup that reads like the shelf at a mid-tier grocery store. To their credit, prices are reasonable — but reasonable pricing on uninspiring wine is still just uninspiring wine.
California dominates this list from top to bottom, with familiar mass-market names like Fetzer, Beringer, Gnarly Head, and Robert Mondavi Private Selection doing most of the heavy lifting. There's a lone Italian showing up (Riff Pinot Grigio) and a single South American bottle in the Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec, which at least suggests someone glanced beyond the California border at some point. No Burgundy, no Rhône, no Iberian peninsula, no interesting small producers — just a who's who of supermarket wine. The list hasn't moved in any discernible direction; it exists to serve people who want wine but don't particularly want to think about wine.
All 11 wines are by the glass only — there's no bottle program to speak of, which keeps things simple but caps the ceiling pretty low. Pours run $7–$10, which is genuinely fair for Moab, a tourist town where restaurant margins can get ugly. The range covers the basics: a couple whites, a rosé in Beringer White Zin, a few reds — no rotation, no seasonal swap-outs, just the same steady lineup.
Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec — $10
Trapiche is an honest, food-friendly Malbec with actual structure behind it — more than you can say for most of its neighbors on this list. At $10 a glass in a tourist-heavy brewpub, it's the one pour worth ordering without regret.
Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc
It's not glamorous, but Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc punches above its price point consistently. Most people here are ordering the Chardonnay on autopilot — skip it and grab this instead for something with a little more life and brightness.
Beringer White Zinfandel
There's no version of 2024 where this is the call. Beringer White Zin is sweet, flat, and a relic of a wine trend that peaked when cargo shorts were still acceptable. At a brewpub with good beer on tap, there are better decisions to be made.
Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec + Burger
The Malbec's dark fruit and soft tannins do exactly what you need them to do against a juicy pub burger — cut the fat, match the char, and not get in the way. It's a simple equation, but it works.

Moab Brewery is a great place to drink beer in canyon country — the wine list is just along for the ride. If your table insists on wine, the Trapiche Malbec and Joel Gott Sauv Blanc are your two honest options; everything else is background noise.

Castle Creek isn't competing with your favorite wine bar — it's competing with the view, and honestly both win. If you're driving Highway 128 and you don't stop here, you made a mistake.

Spitfire is a BBQ bar that treats wine as an afterthought in almost every way — except the pricing and the quiet inclusion of two local Utah pours that no one saw coming. Come for the ribs and a cold beer, but if you want wine, the Trapiche Malbec at $7 a glass is an honest steal and the Spanish Valley bottles are worth the curiosity.

Castle Creek is a genuine Utah estate winery in one of the most visually arresting settings you'll ever drink in, and the wines are better than the novelty factor requires them to be. We wouldn't drive to Moab for the Cabernet, but if you're already there, skipping the tasting room would be the wrong call.
