The wine list at Meadowood hits like a well-tailored suit — composed, intentional, and clearly built by someone who knows exactly what they're doing. It's not the longest list you'll ever see at 65 labels, but every slot earns its place. This is a list curated for serious drinkers who also happen to be eating a $330 tasting menu.
What impresses us most is how far this list travels beyond Napa Cabernet without abandoning it. You've got grower Champagne from Pierre Gimonnet, Loire Sauvignon Blanc from Vacheron, a beautifully aged Zilliken Riesling from the Saar, Beaujolais from Georges Descombes, and Barolo from Brovia — all sitting alongside Dominus, Harlan, and a 1995 Robert Mondavi Reserve that has no business being poured by the glass anywhere. The California representation is thoughtful, not just chest-thumping: Radio Coteau and Poe signal that the buyer isn't just reaching for trophy bottles.
