Wingman Metrics
You walk into Mama Foo Foo expecting craft cocktails and waterfront Instagram moments β and that's fair, because the space delivers exactly that. But then the wine list lands and you realize someone here actually gave a damn. Failla Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Billecart-Salmon in Daytona Beach is not something we were prepared for.
The list swings wide geographically β you've got Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc from Clos Henri sitting next to Napa heavyweights like Peju and Abeja Cabernet, with a left-field detour through Villa Wolf Gewurztraminer from the Pfalz. It's not the deepest list on the planet, but for a marina-side gastropub in a beach town, the producer quality punches well above its category. The Alsatian and New Zealand picks tell us someone was paying attention when building this. The gaps are in Old World depth β don't come looking for Burgundy or Barolo.
The by-the-glass program is estimated at 12-18 options, which is a solid spread for a spot like this. At $12-$18 a pour, the pricing is in line with the upscale gastropub positioning, though it does compress the value proposition on higher-tier selections. We'd want to see more rotation here β right now it reads more like a static list than an active program.
Clos Henri Estate Sauvignon Blanc β $14
Clos Henri farms biodynamically in Marlborough and makes one of the more serious Sauvignon Blancs the region produces β not a Cloudy Bay clone, but something with actual texture and intention. Getting this by the glass at a waterfront bar in Florida is legitimately good news.
Villa Wolf Gewurztraminer
Most people at a gastropub will walk right past a Gewurztraminer without a second glance, and that's their loss. J.L. Wolf's Pfalz bottling is aromatic, slightly off-dry, and cuts through rich, spiced food in a way that a Chardonnay simply won't. With MFF's global small plates format, this is the sleeper pick on the list.
Santa Cristina Pinot Grigio
Santa Cristina is an Antinori entry-level label β it's inoffensive, it's fine, and it's absolutely everywhere. At upscale gastropub markups, you're paying a premium for a wine that costs eight bucks at Total Wine. With Clos Henri on the same list, there's no reason to settle here.
Failla Sonoma Coast Chardonnay + Short Rib Tacos
Failla's Sonoma Coast Chardonnay runs cooler and leaner than your typical California white β it has enough weight to hold up to braised short rib but enough acidity to cut through the richness. It's a counterintuitive move that works better than reaching for a red.
π² The Bottom Line
Mama Foo Foo is carrying wines that have no business being this good for a waterfront bar in Daytona Beach, and that earns it a legitimate Wild Card. The markup keeps it from being a destination wine list, but if you're eating here anyway, skip the cocktail for once and dig into what's on that wine menu.
ISB Corridor Β· Daytona Beach Β· Asian
P.F. Chang's ISB Corridor isn't a wine destination, but it's not an embarrassment either β especially on Monday when half-price bottles make The Prisoner or Stags' Leap an actual value play. Come for the lettuce wraps, drink the Riesling, and know what you're walking into.

ISB Retail Corridor Β· Daytona Beach Β· Casual American
BJ's is a perfectly fine place to drink craft beer β and we mean that sincerely. But the wine list is a placeholder, not a program, and the Ruffino Prosecco markup alone tells you everything you need to know about how seriously this kitchen takes the category. Come for the Pizookie, come for the beer, leave the wine glass empty.

Azure is a place you go for the view and the seafood, not the wine list. If drinking well matters to your evening, order a cocktail or bring a bottle and pay the corkage.

Historic Magnolia Avenue Β· Daytona Beach Β· Italian
The Cellar is one of Florida's most surprising wine lists β serious depth, marquee producers, and a genuine commitment to Italian and classic French selections that punches way above Daytona's weight class. Markup is aggressive across the board, but if you navigate toward the mid-tier Italian bottles, you'll drink very well.

Chart House Daytona Beach is a Reliable stop β the wine won't blow your mind, but it won't embarrass you either, and $8β$10 pours with a marina sunset is a deal worth taking. Order the El Coto, grab a window seat, and let the view do the heavy lifting.

If it's Wednesday and you want cheap wine with your Lettuce Wraps, P.F. Chang's will get the job done β but there's no reason to come here for the wine program on any other night of the week. Order a cocktail and move on.
