The view of Delavan Lake is genuinely great. The wine list is not. You flip it open expecting at least a token effort from a resort property and instead find a short stack of familiar names that could have been assembled in about twenty minutes by someone who's never left the West Coast aisle of a grocery store.
The list leans almost entirely on Oregon and California, which isn't inherently a problem — except when the depth stops at Erath doing all the heavy lifting. Erath is a perfectly fine, widely distributed Oregon producer, but when one winery accounts for multiple slots on a small list, that's a wine program on cruise control. There's no Burgundy, no Rhône, no Italian, no anything to suggest someone at this resort is paying attention to what's in the cellar. For a lakeside property that draws weekend travelers willing to spend, this is a missed opportunity of real consequence.
Six to ten pours by the glass sounds reasonable until you realize the same Erath bottles anchoring the bottle list are almost certainly doing double duty here. Rotation appears nonexistent — there's no seasonal program, no chalkboard special, no reason to think the glass pours change with any regularity. You're essentially choosing between a handful of safe Pacific Northwest options and calling it a night.
Erath Oregon Winery 2021 Rose of Pinot Noir — null
No pricing data available, but if you're going to order something here, the Rosé of Pinot Noir is the move — it's a bright, easy-drinking wine that suits the casual lakeside setting better than anything else on this list. Just don't expect a steal.
Erath Oregon Winery 2019 Reserve Collection Pinot Noir
Most people at a bar like this will default to whatever's cheapest or most familiar. The Reserve Collection Pinot Noir is a step above the standard Erath tier and worth the bump if it's available — it's the closest thing to an interesting wine on this list.
Erath Oregon Winery 2021 Resplendent Pinot Noir
Resort markups on mid-tier bottles are rarely kind, and a wine called 'Resplendent' at a lake bar that charges resort prices for everything else is a recipe for overpaying. The Resplendent is a decent wine in the right context — this isn't that context.
Erath Oregon Winery 2019 Oregon Pinot Gris + Friday Fish Fry
Pinot Gris and fried fish is a no-brainer — the wine has enough acidity to cut through the batter and enough body to stand up to a proper fish fry plate. It's the one combination on this menu where the wine list almost earns its keep.

If you're here for the lake views and a burger, order a cocktail and don't stress the wine list — it's not why you came. But if wine actually matters to you, the Lookout's list is the kind of set-it-and-forget-it program that makes you wish you'd packed a bottle to leave at the front desk.

Crafted Americana's wine program is resort-standard in the fullest sense: recognizable, priced for convenience, and unlikely to generate any complaints or any real excitement. If you're at The Ridge for the weekend and want a solid glass of Cab with your prime rib, you'll be fine — just don't come expecting a discovery.
