Walk in expecting apple cider and you'll walk out reconsidering fruit wines entirely. Apple Barn Orchard & Winery keeps things tight — eight bottles, all made on-site by Steve Jacobson — and the prices top out at under $19 a bottle, which is almost disorienting by 2024 standards. This is not a traditional wine list, and that's exactly the point.
Every bottle here is a house-made fruit wine, ranging from the flagship Honey Crisp Apple Harvest to a dry Big Buck Blueberry that signals someone here is thinking beyond the sweet-and-simple crowd. The lineup covers strawberry, rhubarb, raspberry, blackberry, peach, and two apple expressions — which is a surprisingly coherent range for such a small producer. There are no imported bottles, no grape varietals, no Napa Cabs jostling for shelf space — this is a focused, orchard-first program and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Gaps? Sure — if you want a sparkling option or anything remotely savory in profile, you're out of luck.
By-the-glass availability isn't confirmed from the data we have, so we can't speak to pour options specifically. Given the winery setting, it would be surprising if tastings and glass pours weren't part of the experience — but we won't guess at what's in the hand vs. what's on the shelf.

Apple Barn Orchard & Winery isn't trying to compete with your favorite natural wine bar, and it doesn't need to. It's a tight, honest, hyper-local fruit wine program priced like it wants you to actually buy a bottle — or three. The Boathouse at Pier 290 has a wine list that does the job without doing much else — familiar producers, California-heavy, built for the path of least resistance. If you're coming for the setting and want something easy and recognizable to drink, you'll be fine. If wine is the point of your evening, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Turf. Kitchen + Tap looks like a solid resort wine program — broad enough geographically to suggest some genuine effort, casual enough in setting that nobody's going to quiz you on your order. We'd feel comfortable sending a friend here for a relaxed dinner with a decent glass of wine, but we'd stop short of calling it a destination for the list itself. Come for the views and the Choriqueso; the wine will take care of itself.
