First Impression
We're going in blind here—Juno & The Peacock keeps its wine program close to the vest online. No public list, no intel on what they're pouring, just a name that sounds like it should have something interesting happening. That could mean hidden gem or total afterthought.
Selection Deep Dive
Without a visible list, we're reading tea leaves, but St. Pete's food scene has grown up fast in recent years, and newer spots tend to play it safe with approachable domestic and Old World standards. Expect California Cabs and Chards to anchor the reds and whites, probably some Pinot Noir for the lighter protein crowd, and maybe a Prosecco or two if they're feeling fancy. The question is whether they've dug deeper into regional Italian, Spanish coastal whites, or anything that shows they're actually thinking about the program beyond checking boxes.
By the Glass
Glass pours are likely the standard six to eight options—a white, a red, maybe a rosé when it's warm, and a sparkling to start. Rotation probably happens when bottles kick, not on any deliberate schedule. We'd guess they're priced in the $10-14 range based on St. Pete norms, but whether they're interesting or just crowd-pleasing is anyone's call right now.
2021 Domaine de la Charmoise Touraine Sauvignon Blanc — $42
Loire Sauvignon with actual structure and minerality, not the New Zealand fruit bomb—worth the spend if they stock it
2020 Matthiasson Napa Valley Red Blend
If they're smart enough to carry this, it's the wine nerds know but casual diners skip—elegant, balanced, not trying to impress with oak bombs
Standard Napa Cab over $80
Unless it's a specific producer with real pedigree, you're paying St. Pete markup on wine you can find cheaper in Tampa or online
2022 Albariño from Rías Baixas + Fresh Gulf Seafood (if on menu)
Coastal Florida plus coastal Spain—the salinity and citrus in Albariño are built for whatever's coming out of the Gulf that day
✔️ The Bottom Line
Juno & The Peacock needs to show us the list before we can make the call. Right now it's a solid bet for neighborhood dining, but whether the wine program deserves your attention is still TBD.
