You walk into a West End sports bar expecting Kendall-Jackson and leave genuinely surprised. Jake's is running a 130-label list with Sassicaia and Château Latour tucked in alongside the burgers and prime rib. This is not what the TVs and bar stools suggest.
The list leans hard into Napa — Caymus Special Selection, Opus One, Joseph Phelps Insignia, and Stags Leap Cask 23 are all present and accounted for, which is legitimately impressive for a neighborhood grill in Billings. They've also reached into Burgundy for the Bouzereau Chassagne-Montrachet and pulled in Sassicaia from Tuscany, giving the list some real international texture. Pacific Northwest representation covers Columbia Valley, Walla Walla, and Willamette Valley, which rounds things out nicely for the regional crowd. The gaps are on the value end — this list is stacked at the top but can feel thin if you're not ready to spend.

Pricing wasn't confirmed, but Montelena's Napa Chardonnay is a benchmark bottle that typically retails around $40-$50. On a list loaded with $100+ heavy-hitters, this is your best shot at old-school Napa quality without the trophy-wine markup — restrained, mineral, and built for a steakhouse table.
Bouzereau Chassagne-Montrachet
Most people at Jake's are scanning for Cabernet and walking right past this. Chassagne-Montrachet from Bouzereau is proper white Burgundy on a Montana steakhouse list — that's genuinely rare. Order it while it lasts.
Dom Perignon Brut
Dom at a bar-and-grill is almost always a pricing trap. Restaurant markups on trophy Champagne like this routinely hit 3-4x retail, and the setting doesn't justify the splurge. If you want bubbles, find something else on the list.
Stags Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 + Prime Rib
Cask 23 is one of Napa's most elegant Cabernets — structured but not blunt, with the kind of dark fruit and fine tannins that don't bulldoze well-marbled beef. Prime rib is exactly what this wine was made to sit next to.
