The Silver Saddle Room's wine list won't make you rearrange your travel plans, but it won't let you down either. For a steakhouse in a tourist corridor, the pricing is fair and the selections are picked with enough intention to get the job done.

Bella Vita isn't a destination wine list, but it's a respectable one — fairly priced, Italian-forward, with enough smart choices to reward the curious diner. If you're in Sedona and want honest Italian food with a glass of Chianti Classico that won't cost you a red rock tour, this is your spot.

The Hudson's wine lounge is a reliable, comfortable spot that plays it safe and plays it well — you won't be surprised, but you won't be disappointed either. If you're looking for adventure in a glass, you'll need to look elsewhere; if you want a solid pour with one of the better views in Sedona, this does the job.

Come for the creek views and the fish tacos — they've earned that reputation. But when the wine list tops out at nine labels and leans on 3-4x markups for mid-shelf grocery store picks, you're better off ordering a margarita and saving the wine for dinner somewhere else in Sedona.

Open Range isn't a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — it's a Sedona steakhouse with a tight, honest list that does its job without embarrassing itself or emptying your wallet. Go for the views, order the Malbec or ZD Cab, and call it a win.

Tii Gavo is a resort restaurant that refused to phone in its wine list, and that alone puts it in a different category than most of its competition in Arizona. Pricing will sting, but the depth and range are real — if someone else is expensing it, order the Sine Qua Non and don't look back.
